Now on its third name, should the original Centaur version be marked as discontinued, or should it simply be updated to reflect the name Centara, or Zentara? Or could all three alternate product names be added, instead of making it one long name?

What if we had "pre-CBS" and "CBS era" as an option for vintage Strats? That way it would show different images since the big headstock 3 bolt guitars look pretty different.

I think having a page for Warmoth Partscaster or similar (e.g. Fender, Kramer) would be useful, but theres a ton of Partscaster pages that can be merged. Maybe a separate one for different body styles like Strat or Tele and nothing more complicated.

I'm on the fence, but would consider changing all of them. A couple months ago I went through and cleaned up the brand, and added all the current models off their site. I'm surprised we didn't run into any more duplicates, but there's still some hanging out. I think we're only missing the Angel 7 and few others at this point.

What do we do for vague pages like this? For famous Partscasters like EVH I'd suggest locked pages that won't let it be added to other artists, but allow replicas to be suggested.

I usually name the vintage instruments something like "Kramer Pacer Deluxe (1984-1987)" just for consistency, but it really is a personal preference. I've gotten in trouble on here once for shortening some of the longer names that had the category or unnecessary information added, but I am not sure what the official naming convention is at the moment.

I’ve noticed on the homepage, despite the upvote button being there, it doesn’t seem to work unless I go to the page for the item or submission. I also find the comments to be acting a little weird, with not automatically being able to reply to commenters and the number of replies being limited. I also find it odd being unable to reply to reviews anymore.

I think a lot of people will find this helpful, it lets you compare the EQ of up to 5 pedals at once at almost any setting.

Darn, I feel like the AI generated descriptions aren’t a bad idea for the items that don’t have them, but they seem to make up a lot or try very hard to sell things that might be one offs or long discontinued.

I won’t go making any new ones for now then, our duplicate problem is bad enough. It might be a good idea to make the reissues a little more clearly reissues, since they’re all on here.

That’s completely valid, I’ll see if I can find a name that reflects both Black and Silver and some good pictures for both. The other way this amp has confused me is that many of the artists under the 1994 ‘65 DR Reissue would have played an original, so I wanted to stop that mistake if I can.

I recently was trying to clean up duplicates and improve images where I can, and noticed the Deluxe Reverb page seemed to signify an original Black Panel, but was kinda a catch all for all the vintage years, including the later Silverface circuit. I only noticed this after making the change (my mistake) but would it be possible to split this page into two for consistency, since most Fenders follow the convention of separate Black Panel and Silverface years with some overlap?

Crazy, I had no idea about the feud, but I am a casual appreciator of Leslie speakers and Hammonds. I guess I'll stick with the pedal history for now and read up on the Organ brands.

Reminds me, we have Hammond and Leslie on here separate, which has been hurting my brain to figure out which are Hammond or Leslie branded or if they should be combined. I think a good feature would be sub brands or even a marker that a piece of gear was born out a collaboration imo.

When it comes to defunct brands can we add something to mark all their items as 'Vintage or Discontinued' across the board, and the brand as no longer operating on its landing page? Or if they've changed their name, there could also be a header for similar or related brands.

There are also a ton of Rhodes duplicates, the ones to keep usually have the production years in parentheses.

I had noticed that too and tried to clean it up a little since some were mislabeled. I think the oldest and current versions should be under the same Rhodes brand, but the versions such as ARP and Roland should stay under their respective brands if that makes sense. When I did try to add the brand it didn’t let me (I’m assuming since I’m not a Mod)

Does anyone know how much would go into making logos scalable when they are added to brands? I noticed the recent change from circle to square logos which is a huge improvement, but many of them still end up getting cropped.

That's also true. Does anyone know if there's a page we can see all the recently added gear? I usually check the bar on the homepage for duplicates whenever I'm on here.

I think you’re right, it looks like it got added with a bunch of others recently. In my opinion we should have some sort of lock on one off guitars and gear so they’re not submitted to duplicate artists, like the original Red Special or Frankenstrat, and their replicas as some sort of sub category. But Frus’ Strat isn’t a one off even if it has his unique wear pattern.

I can submit it if you haven't already. I'm not a moderator but I've found a lot and put them on there. I think mods can accept or deny.

I recently noticed two listings for the 5E3 Fender Deluxe, with one being the Narrow Panel Tweed produced from 1955-1960, and another earlier TV Front deluxe mistakenly labeled as a 5E3, having its name changed two years ago from the 5C3 model shown in the picture. I reverted this change, but now most of the artists are wrong. Is there a way we can change these submissions to the correct item?

Some of these Flying V listings appear to be reissues and others are originals, but the wrong versions seem to be attributed and or overlapping with many artists.
