Love this guitar!

I replaced a very similar Epiphone Gold Top with a Gold Top version of this one. It’s very lightweight, which is good, it’s chambered, it’s also almost like a short scale but it’s not, it’s a big shorter than the Epiphone, but full scale, not sure how that works. It was well played when I got it which is a good sign, but not worn out. Feels good, despite not having binding on the neck. The neck is a slimmer depth 60’s neck, but also kind of wide width, pretty easy to play once set up. I swapped the pickups out because I like the brighter 50’s wound, but the stock pickups were good, about 7k reading. Love it now!

Really like this guitar

Love the look of it, very classic, almost gold top looking in the copper under the lights, hard to see the sparkle in dim lit lighting. Flat neck radius better for slide than standard radius. I thought it would be the closest to a Clapton strat with the maple fretboard, vintage noiseless pickups and mid boost electronics, and I was kind of right, though I really never use the electronics lol. I have pedals for that. Sounds really good, different than my 60’s model strat, less spanky I guess because of the pickups, they maybe have more mids, and they are silentšŸ‘

Great dobro

I love Gretsch guitars, and this looks like a vintage Gretsch so that’s a plus, sounds great, decent intonation, plays well when set up, good tone, a little rough feeling in the hands but workable.

Great amp, not fond of stock speaker

I love this little lightweight amp, great tone, compact, you’d be surprised at the bass response it puts out with just a 10ā€ speaker. I wasn’t fond of the stock Jensen though, so I swapped it for the same Alnico Jensen found in the handwired RI version, sounds much better, less flub, more mids, less aggressive high end, kind of makes it sound a little more like a brownface or tweed I guess. Great tremelo and reverb as well!

Works well, sounds great

I use it in the deepest setting to get more of a Vox Hendrix tone, sounds great! The small footprint takes a little getting used to, but that’s the whole point of the pedal right?

Awesome versatile pedal!

Used it a couple times for a direct Vox sound, sounded really good. Right now usually using it without the cab sim as a distortion pedal, to get a Vox tone with a treble boost added(which is what you get the more you boost the gain) tons of tonal options and gain on tap, very versatile, and a good backup in case my amp goes downšŸ‘

Great guitar, feels and looks great, needs new pickups

Mine is a 2007 Chinese sunburst model, looks perfect, feels amazing when set up properly, I actually love the unplugged sound a lot! I’m thinking maybe some of the Beatles recorded sounds around the Rubber Soul/Revolver period that we think are an acoustic are this guitar unplugged šŸ¤” But the stock pickups are way too high output with not enough punch and treble, very dull and woofy sounding, so I’m swapping them for some Lollars(on the way). The electronics are cheap also, might need to replace some of it…

Great sounding and playing guitar

Pleasantly surprised at the sound and feels great, plays well for a 12 string. Pickups are very low output but have a very good sound to them, almost acoustic sounding in the chimey middle position. Quality not bad for a very inexpensive guitar, my first tele thinline type as well, love the resonance.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Middle position chime is best sound

Love this guitar 🄰

From the moment I picked it up it had that rich Martin sound! I had played a different version from the Road Series and liked it also, but wanted an electric with a cutaway. This one sounds fantastic unplugged or plugged. Sounds great fingerpicking, makes you want to keep playing it(the sign of a great guitar tome) Handles strumming very well too, not super loud like a D model, but still very rich and full. This is my first ā€˜nice’ acoustic I’ve owned, though I have many nice electrics. Definitely gets that Zep, Stones, CSNY ect. nice woody tone.

Awesome

Such a great pedal!, essential, does both jobs so well in one footprint. I have 3 boards and wish I had 3 of them, one for each board.

Absolutely Awesome Guitar!

Just got this guitar and tried it at a rehearsal, might be my favorite guitar, and I own several Gibsons and Fenders! Looks great, plays great and sounds great, great sustain, it’s a very light guitar, about 7 lbs, even stays in tunešŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘I love the pickups, the new Probuckers they use are perfect. I’ve heard Firebirds are Strat Killers, now I know why, they’re bright and punchy enough to sound kind of like a single coil, but not harsh, and silent because they’re actually humbucker pickups, so they can also rock like a PAF. I could play a whole set of different kinds of songs without changing guitars, and did at the rehearsal, never felt the need. I also compared it to the exact Gibson model when I bought it(a used 2017) and preferred the look and sound of the Epiphone! The higher end Epiphones coming out of their factory are definitely knocking on the door of the Gibsons…

Love this pedal!

Awesome sounding! Instant jimmy page tape type effects, easy to make it self oscillate, added an outboard tap temp button now, 2 quick taps and instant slap back delay, highly recommended šŸ‘

A very fuzzy fuzz...

As the reviews say, it gets a little spitty, thick and woolly Velcro feel but not too thick, it’s not a muff, set at lower gain I really like it(I stack it with other drives)

Very powerful versatile klone

This version of the klone family is more tonally versatile than most. Also has lots of output, as a boost would work great, I use it as a drive pedal, Its a hard clipper driven hard but I use it for light to medium gain. It’s got a mid push, but not as extreme as a TS. Great tone controls and great sound!

Swell pedal (pun intended ;)

I like this pedal, works better than the cheaper one I was using, I use it for an auto swell instead of a volume pedal, works really goodšŸ‘

Great wah!

I use the Jimi sound, but the others seem workable too. I figured if Trower uses it it’s got to be good, an it’s great! The more I get used to it, the more I love it 🄰

Great little direct box!

I mainly use the Vox tones but I like the Plexi tones too, the Tweed sounds ok. Love the fact that it has different room sounds for a more alive sound. Good tones, still not the same as plugging into the real thing, but it’s a good simulation. Takes pedals well, a compressor helps with the feel as well.

It’s a tuner, works great.

I really don’t use the all strings at once thing, it’s too small and far away and I don’t see it that well, but tuner works great!

Dan and Mick know their stuff!

Still experimenting with it, but sounds great! Dan’s side is kind of like a mixture of an OCD and a full frequency Rat, sounds great with a Vox sound! Mick’s side is very Tube Screameresque midrange mixed with a klon, both sides have very high headroom and lots of volume on tap.

Works fairly well

I used this instead of a volume pedal for swells and worked fairly well, also makes cool backward guitar simulation effects. The sensitivity knob doesn’t do much if at all, but still works.
