Burzum is a highly influential one-man musical project founded by Varg Vikernes in Norway. Known for pioneering the black metal genre, Burzum's music spans a range of styles including black metal, dark ambient, and electronic. Varg Vikernes, also known by his alias Count Grishnackh, is the sole member and is responsible for all vocal, instrumental, and production work. His work under the Burzum name is characterized by its experimental approach and atmospheric soundscapes, often infused with themes of paganism and Norse mythology.

Burzum’s sound is an immersive blend of raw and atmospheric textures, characterized by lo-fi production and haunting melodies.
