Hot Hot Heat is a Canadian indie rock band known for their infectious blend of alternative dance, indie rock, and dance-punk, hailing from Victoria, British Columbia. Formed in 1999, the band experienced a pivotal shift when Steve Bays (vocals, keyboards) took over vocal duties and Dante DeCaro (guitar) joined, alongside founding members Paul Hawley (drums) and Dustin Hawthorne (bass). Their music is characterized by catchy melodies and witty lyrics, gaining significant attention with their 2002 EP Knock Knock Knock and the full-length album Make Up the Breakdown.
