Turn it on and start jamming.
Heartbeat of my studio, sequencing synths and drum machines with MIDI.
The softsynths are always there if you need them too
I love this drum box.
You can get so much more out of this, and fit into more genres than you would imagine.
Run those claps through a decent outboard delay, and it’s time to really get lost.
Love this delay.
Bought it from new when came out and took to clubs to use with my DJ sets.
Used to get quite a reaction if used at the right time. You could drive those hi hats through the room.
It’s been in my studio now for a long time.
Has a great sound, especially the tape and tube.
One of the best things I’ve ever bought.
Such a solid and rich sound, gives that little extra to my synths and drum machines.
The groups are great for drums too with a little drive.
(I don’t have the B model)
A nice little addition for when you want a change from your usual drum sounds.
If you know the Zanzibar NJ House Sound, you’ll start hearing this in a lot of those tracks when you get to know it.
Well I ain’t gonna shell out for an OG, and I probably ain’t gonna be as lucky who found one in an original box in a skip.
So, this one does the job, and they have done a great job.
That price too!
Mine is Red.
This really is a beast of a mono.
Cracking modern design in the wake of their call next onslaught.
Tuning knobs are a bit of a pain though, easily knocked and too big.
Those should have been the filter knobs.
This little fella did all the synth duties on my Hercules & The Beast track on Wolf Music, and In The Water on my EP for Local Talk.
I got this on a bit of a whim after years of perusing the right vintage FM for my needs.
It has outweighed my expectations.
Great functional mixer for managing drum machines and synths.
You can get some nice tone from driving it too.
When the inevitable happens and you Mac just says enough, it’s time to get depressed over how much Macs have gone up since you last bought one.
With the options of factory HD & RAM upgrades you can future proof as much as possible with this thing.
Get the best processor available, it’s worth it.
This thing has more power than its size suggests.
I’ve ran some high CPU projects and I’ve only ever heard the fans come on twice.
I bought this in NY in 2012 having first used rotary in the 90s and falling in love with the feel.
I love the mixer so much.
Built quality and sound is magnificent.
There’s a lot more fancy options about now with the current ‘trend’ for rotary mixers, but if you can pick one of these up you’ll have an amazing mixer that will last you a lifetime.
My only criticism is no assignment for fx, but I can live with that.
The mk1 is my preference.
Having been DJing since the late 80’s not having pair of these would be like missing a limb.
MK2’s are my preferred, with upgraded leads.
