searching for a good metal guitar
Get a Japanese made ESP Eclipse. They made a higher quaility LTD version for just $1000 and it was wellbeyond most LTD's.
Ifyou aren't boxed into buying a premade, I would suggest getting a Keisel/Carvin kit and putinthe electronics yourself. That way, you get the exact pups, preamp, neck style, fret material, etc you want.

Personally, I've not ever used or heard a multi-FX pedal that didn't sound like junk. I would just get the individual pedals you need or invest in a higher end rack unit for FX like a Kemper or a Fractal. I just don't have much faith in intermediat level digital effects.

I would prefer not to attack bacons. That wasn't my intention. Your post comes off as really aggressive. As a favor to me, please edit it to just the question about Spinal Tap and Chappers.
On the other two subjects...
Spinal Tap is a real band. They still tour today along with their other character band, "The Folksmen."
Youtube reviewers and the like are not my favorite people to have on the site, especially seeing that they don't own the gear you see them with. However, this issue came up before and out temporary solution for the time being was to put #ProductDemo in the notes of all these submissions. This way, Michael and Gchar can go back eventually, find all the items tagged with #ProductDemo, and decide what to do with them.

I added a wrong submission and i wanna delete it
Ideally, we would like not to delete items, but merge them together. This way, when someone wants to see who all has used a Fender Telecaster, they would search the title and it would pull up all users. Currently, the sites submission field is very specific. If someone makes a submission for a Fender Telecaster and another for a Telecaster Fender, the site will only show one user for each and it will think they are completely different guitars. This is also why we now are more strict with the titles of a submission. If a word is mispelled, out of place, not capitalized, etc, it makes the search engine think it's a instrument of it's own.
To know where a bad submission has been made, one would have to visit the page of an artist or see them on the recent activity scroll. Due to having two full-time jobs and going to school 15 hours a semester, I simply do not have time to visit every artist I can think of read through older submissions. However, I do look over all the new submissions and reviews that we get in a day and moderate those that need moderation.
I have no issue with you, but I do have to fix your posts as part of my role here. In the last few days, you have had the most submissions that envolved instruments I am familiar with. I have had to correct other guitars and amps within these days as well. You are not alone. It is not personal. My job here is to ensure that the site has as accurate of a catalog as possible.
The site currently does not allow instant messaging or e-mail between members. I think if we had this, corrections would not feel so aggressive. We could talk in real time. Many new members go back and undo the changes made by staff. This just wastes everyone's time and puts more friction in the environment. A lot of new members don't even visit the forums, so they don't get to know why the submissions were editted if they don't read the editting info.
I encourage you to continue to make submissions. If you think a certain tag is needed in the title, do put it in the submission. When we see it, we will make a decision on whether the name needs to stay the same or be editted. If it is editted, you will still get points towards your gear IQ and int he best case scenario, the item is either copy of another item and will be merged or the title will just be adjusted.

I added a wrong submission and i wanna delete it
Both would be incorrect. Both submissions do not have the maker (Fender) in title and mirror finish is not a valid tag for a title, it's just a finish.

- What's with gear that's not yet in your database? Example: Korg NS5R. How do I suggest it?
Welcome synth-rex.
If there is an item that has not yet been added to our database, click SUBMIT at the top of the page, then MUSIC GEAR. Make sure you get the spelling and such correct, upload the best photo available of the item, preferably with an all white background to blend into the page, and submit. Try to avoid colors, finishes, nicknames, years, and specific customized items from the title.
Hope this helps.

I'm trying to offend all the youngsters on the site with this:
Carlos Mencia and Amy Schumer are both hacks who made their careers off of other comedians' jokes. Their stand up is just a collection of other peoples' work.

I'm trying to offend all the youngsters on the site with this:
Ed Sheeran is a theif. He's in a ton of lawsuits for stealing songs written by other people. The best case I saw was 38 out of 40 notes being the same, in the same pattern, and the same hold lengths on them. He's garbage. He's the Carlos Menci/Amy Schumer of pop music.

I myself own a markbass 250 little mark and I'm blown away how versatile and strong it is. It can keep up with an fender rumble 500 in an live situation. Also i have a Ashdown Cab, 2x10, wich is jus big enough for me and the PA gets the DI sound anyway
Wow. I didn't know MarkBass products were affordable now. Last time I looked into them, they sounded great but you were going to pay a couple of thousand to get a small rig. I would probably go with the little mark in this case.

Ampeg BA-210v2
Ashdown AAA-300-210T
Or go used and see if you can get a hold of an SWR. The real SWR's, before Fender bought them, were great. The tone was just enhanced in all ways and the difference was like Cassette Tape to Vinyl.

The Fender Rumble 200 is a twat because it's only 200 watts and has a 15 inch speaker. Unless you're playing Tejano music, gets smaller speakers and more of them being backed by more juice.

Yeah, you sort of are right that Bieber isn't even a musician. He can do lots of things, but his only talent is annoying people.
Bieber actually plays piano, guitar, and drums. Not on the level of anyone from Deam Theater, but enough to play most of the stuff that plays on mainstream radio. I would put him a lot higher on my list of worthy and unworthy than anyone who can only play one instrument or none at all.

If you didnt want people to know what gear you had, one would think you would just not add any gear to it, right?

It would be interesting to have an option next to every band and artist on EB in which you can thumbs up or down. I would be interested in seeing who has the most thumb downs. Most thumb ups would likely be Deadmouse and Jack White sigh

I think a lot of why I don't like Nirvana is because of how overplayed they are, particulary the live unplugged stuff. It just kills my boner for the day when it plays.
I thought of someone I put in about the same regard I have for Bjork.

Klaus Nomi was just an art-tard. He wore mickey mouse gloves and died of AIDs. Brian Johnson was the second singer for AC/DC. Bjork has a terrible sense of singing and it never seems to match up with the music in the background. It's like a def girl just ranting over some video game menu music. I think I cringe the most from her.
Cobain's guitar work was as if he wasn't trying and his vocals were terrible and off pitch live. The lyrics he brought about werent deep or meaningful, but they were treated as they were.

3.) People who are snobbish because they know theory. Theory is for inter-musician communication and nothing else, it does not make you a better person for knowing it, it just makes you a better musician to convey to other classically trained musicians. I kind of ride this ridge somewhere in the middle, and just keep learning as I go. I know how to read staff and tab and 99.9% of the time I still do everything from memory because it's faster. Does not make me lesser, just makes me efficient.
I've experienced two people this summer who believe theory is all there is. What's worse, both these people are not the best I've played with and they are stuck playing the same patterns over and over in all songs. I value natural talent over forced any day. If a person picks up a paint brush and creates a master piece, and another spends 2 decades having others hold their hand and teaching them to paint before they make their master piece, which of these is the greater? Kids who can sing well naturally vs adults who take singing lessons is another go-to for me. The kid, only a hand ful of years out of the womb is able to do what the adult struggles to do and finds improbable to acomplish on their own.
My advice. Out play the theory snobs and when they mess up, throw it in their face when they hit sour notes with comments like, "Oh, what scale is THAT?" Turns them radfaced everytime.
I'm supposed to take classical guitar as a give-me elective this year, but I feel like if I will lose something by taking it. I will no longer be able to say I did it on my own. I feel like by taking a class, I'm telling everyone I don't have the intelligence to do it on my own, and that eats me up. I'm tempted to swap classes before the semester starts.

This is aprime example of why people submitting items with, "He use this one" or, "He is see here playing" is not acceptable. If people put any effort into their submissions, we could have examples of use and dates used, etc. We can't fix it though. Too many people make an account, add a bunch of rubbish to Corey Taylor or Eric Clapton, and then never log on again.

I just wouldn't do this anymore. The bass is going to be the most important part and I can't name a bass for $1000< that I would feel comfortable with. I could get away with just have a a SansAmp Bass Fly for DI and tweaking and not having an amp at all if I'm going through PA's, but I would want a really comfortable bass that has a lot of low end growl, active preamp and pups, and a good string spacing on it. You just don't get that when you hold back and budget it.

A lot of people use tube screamers.
I've heard good things about the Keeley Dark Side.
I would probably try a Friedman first.

Have your say: Diplomacy in recording.
In my current band/group situations, 2 of 3 drummers I play with love high bass. 1 of 5 guitarists like the bass loud. I typically want the bass to be in the forefront; especially, if the guitars are playing very simple things or are just holding out long chords. Think Tool, Primus, and Pantera.
I hate having the bass so lost in the background that one has to listen in just for the bass. If I were in control, nearly every song would be mixed this way. If I shared control with a band, I would fight for compromise. If I was hired to play bass for someone else'c recording, I would just shut up and let them make the decisions.

Have your say: Diplomacy in recording.
When you record the instruments yourself, you have total control.
Typically, if you are in a band and you've made it to the point where you are recording, you will already have agreed upon how loud each section is for live performances.

I have been asked to record the bass for a four song EP. The cool thing is, the guitarist is better at guitar than I am at bass, which usually isn't the case. I found out he likes Yngwie and I threw out to them if they would be up for recording just aminute or so of Far Beyond the Sun. It sounds like it's a go. This is going to be awesome.
