Land Devices is a boutique pedal company founded in Oakland, California, by an anonymous builder known only as "Land." The operation began in mid-2017 as a hobby — Land started building pedals because vintage circuits were too expensive to buy — and gained traction after early units posted on Reverb caught the attention of Premier Guitar. What started as small 20-unit runs grew into one of the most sought-after names in the boutique pedal world, with demand consistently outpacing supply.

The brand is best known for the HP-2, a distortion/fuzz pedal based on the rare InterFax Harmonic Percolator circuit famously championed by Steve Albini. The HP-2 features hand-wired construction, germanium diode clipping, and a utilitarian aesthetic inspired by Braun industrial design and military hardware. Other notable entries in the lineup include the Domino analog octave (based on the Dan Armstrong Green Ringer), the No Masters fuzz (a collaboration with Farm Pedals based on the Selmer Buzz Tone), the Hunter stereo distortion, and the Moonbow resonant filter overdrive. Land Devices also produced the EP-5 Echoplex preamp, later reissued in a smaller format as the PRE.

Land Devices occupies a distinctive niche in the pedal market, combining obsessive circuit archaeology — resurrecting obscure and discontinued designs — with a fiercely private, anti-hype ethos. The builder declines public interviews and maintains no known social media presence beyond Instagram, letting the pedals speak for themselves.
