Landscape is a Japanese maker of archtop and semi-hollow guitars and basses built in Shiojiri, Nagano, by luthier Toshi Owa. Owa, a former R&D manager at the famed Matsumoku factory, launched Landscape as a brand under his company Quest International, which he founded in 1997 and later relocated to a dedicated workshop near Matsumoto in 2008.

The instruments are made in the classic violin tradition, with carved solid spruce tops, figured maple backs and sides, and cello-style rolled edges. The catalog centers on hollowbody and semi-hollow archtop jazz guitars — models such as the AT1 17" archtop, the AR-2, and the SA-101 single-cut — alongside acoustic-electric archtop basses like the ARB-1 and ABP-1 and traditional upright basses. Production is small-scale and hand-built, and the guitars are typically fitted with floating humbucker pickups in keeping with their jazz-box lineage.

Landscape has a niche reputation among archtop and jazz-bass players for offering fully carved, all-solid-wood Japanese craftsmanship at prices well below comparable American and European luthier-built archtops.
