Synthesis Technology (often shortened to Synth Tech) is a modular synthesizer manufacturer based in the Dallas, Texas area, founded in 1998 by electrical engineer Paul Schreiber. The company launched with the MOTM format, a 5U modular system using 1/4" jacks that drew on the engineering traditions of 1970s Moog modular gear while adding modern circuit design. MOTM helped catalyze the broader revival of modular synthesis in the late 1990s and 2000s.

In 2010, Synthesis Technology released its first Eurorack module, the E340 Cloud Generator, and gradually transitioned its focus from MOTM to the Eurorack format. The company is best known for digitally-rooted oscillators, filters, and effects modules, including the E352 Cloud Terrarium wavetable VCO, the E370 Quad Morphing VCO, the E430 Morphing SVF and E490 Ladder VCF filters, and the E520 Hyperion stereo effects processor. Synth Tech also developed WaveEdit, a free open-source wavetable editor used by many Eurorack musicians for designing custom waveforms.

The brand built a reputation among modular enthusiasts for dense, sound-design-oriented modules that emphasize spectral morphing, wavetable synthesis, and unconventional VCO and filter behavior. Its products are distributed through specialist Eurorack retailers in North America, Europe, and Australia.

Synthesis Technology has 15 products cataloged on Equipboard, including Modular Synthesizers. Their gear is featured by 13 artists, with the strongest followings in Electronic, Rock, and Hip Hop. Notable users include Richard Devine, Robert Rich, and Surachai.
