Surachai's Gear
The Overstayer Modular Channel can be seen sitting in a rack in the photos contained in this article.
The Doepfer A-101-3 Modular Vactrol Phase Filter is visible on the right bottom side of the Surachai's Eurorack modular synthesizer he plays in this video.
Surachai contributed to Make Noise's Shared System Record series, all of which were produced using the Make Noise Shared System. On Make Noise's website, there are patch notes for each track on the record.
Surachai talks about the process of developing his album, Ritual, in this article. He says, "The signal chain was short. Cwejman S1 MKII output > Eventide Space > RME Fireface UC."
"For Come, Deathless, I’m mostly using the Nord Modular G2, which is 20 years old and digital, yet it still slays a lot of the software coming out now."
"...Tip Top Audio ZDSP running Valhalla Shimmer DSP chip..."
In this article Surachai discusses the release of "Ritual", stating, "Ritual was composed entirely on the Cwejman S1 MKII."
"Hardware can do all sorts of things and hit the mark within their own vocabulary, but when ABSYNTH and REAKTOR came along, it was like, “what’s happening?” Yes, this is a synthesizer, but the potential is literally limitless."
"Recording. The signal chain was short. Cwejman S1 MKII output > Eventide Space > RME Fireface UC. The Cwejman was sequenced by the Make Noise RENE. The Dynaverb algorithm in the Eventide Space was the only reverb model used, except 20 (00) where a Tip Top Audio Z5000 delay preset was utilized. The album was tracked into Logic X and like my previous albums, everything was recorded into one large session but this time only 4 tracks were used."
"...Bass is a WMD Gamma Wave going into the Bionic Lester, using channel 2’s LP output it feeds into the mixer. The WMD Gamma Wave is being sequenced by the Z8000’s 16 step sequencer...."
"Received the Make Noise Soundhack Echophon and made a patch before working on the overview video, which will be released soon. Unfortunately a few people asked what is going on in the patch, so I should explain. There are 4 voices happening: Bass, Plucked Primary, Plucked Secondary, and Wash. Bass is a WMD Gamma Wave going into the Bionic Lester, using channel 2’s LP output it feeds into the mixer. The WMD Gamma Wave is being sequenced by the Z8000’s 16 step sequencer. Plucked Primary is the Tip Top Audio Z3000 going into the Make Noise Optomix being sequenced by the RENÈ. Plucked Secondary is a Hertz Donut being fed into the Make Noise Optomix and being sequenced by the BRAINS expanded Pressure Points. Wash is a Piston Honda being fed into the Blue Lantern Diode filter using the Bandpass mode. The Harvestman Double Andore is scanning the Bank/Programs. Everything is going into the mixer which is feeding the Make Noise Echophon."

"This summer has been busy but managed to find a some moments to piece together this patch. Overall the patch is 6 channels with some sub mixing. Channels 1 & 2 – Harvestman Piston Honda MKII > Tip Top Audio ZDSP running Valhalla Shimmer DSP chip...."
"...Channel 3 – Tip Top Audio BD808 + RS808 + HATS808..."
"...Sequencing was performed on Mutable Instruments’ Grids, Tip Top Audio Z8000, Harvestman Stillson Hammer, 4ms RCD/SCM, Doepfer A155/154..."
In this video, called "Octatrack - One Sample from Driven Machine Drums", Surachai play this rig.
(about "Asymmetry Codex") "Arrangement & Mixing" "After all the patterns and stems were recorded to audio, I arranged them into Pro Tools. All of the editing was done with dozens of plug-ins including: Valhalla DSP, INA-GRM, Sound Toys, Izotope, Soundhack, UAD and a few Richard told me to keep under wraps."
In this video, there are listed three effect pedals by Eventide: the Space Reverb, the Pitch Factor and the Time Factor. You can notice them clearly at the center of the framing.

"...I also use Metaphysical Function from the Reaktor User Library as a standalone thing. That’s not new at all but still sounds better than a lot of gear today."
"You also have KONTAKT or MASSIVE with a million banks of presets that you can tweak according to whatever you’re working on. For a lot of working composers or musicians, the turnaround times mean you don’t need months to do things. It’s about what you have to hand, and one of your answers better be Native Instruments."
