Founded in 1988 in Penza, Russia by guitarist and engineer Alexander Yerasov, Yerasov Music Corporation is one of Russia's largest manufacturers of guitar and bass equipment. Yerasov began building tube amplifiers as a teenager using salvaged parts from movie theater sound systems, and when the Perestroika era opened opportunities for private enterprise, he assembled a team of engineers to launch the company. The firm initially operated under the name Gamma until 1994, producing guitar effects pedals before expanding into amplifier manufacturing under the Yerasov name.

Yerasov specializes in all-valve (tube) guitar and bass amplifiers, ranging from small practice combos to high-wattage heads for stage use. The lineup includes the Bulldozer and Detonator series for high-gain players, the Gavrosh low-wattage heads, the Blackspace pedal-platform head, the Bluespace and Hammer Head models, and the Basstodon bass head. Many models feature point-to-point handwired construction and Jensen speakers. The company also produces effects pedals and floor preamps, including the Pterodriver PD-7 tube preamp. The GTA-15 combo, equipped with a Jensen C10Q speaker, won the Amp of the Year award from British magazine Guitar & Bass in 2013.

Yerasov has built a reputation in the international guitar community for offering solidly constructed tube amplifiers at price points well below comparable Western-made alternatives, and the company also manufactures amplifiers on an OEM basis for European retailers.
