IBANEZ Gio RGA
My brother's first guitar was this. So it was always around. At first, I hated it. I couldn't stand the neck profile, neck heel, and bridge. All things Ibanez purposefully put on the guitar. Now, I can play it and not just feel uncomfortable. I like the look and the arch-top. He put it in drop B and it fared well. I'm not an Ibanez guy, but It's a decent guitar.

Not Terrible
It's a strat. It sounds like a strat. It's decent for cleans. Just be ready for the moment you slap some gain on, the single coils get gnarly. Not in a good way. It's also wayyyyyy too light. The neck profile is decent but the bridge jacks up any comfort you'd find with it.

ESP LTD Alexi 600 Greeny
I love my greeny. Alder body, neck through 3 piece maple neck, ebony board, floyd rose, EMG H2 (Which I plan to switch out.), grover tuners, cool decal. I got mine used at a pawn shop. Only thing with it was the paint getting busted off at the edges, like all pointy guitars. The floyd works great. The pickup is great for leads and some rhythms, but is useless clean. I'm not a fan of COB so I'm not saying all this cause I fanboy it.

Jackson Dinky 7
This is my first seven string. But I have taken an incredible liking to the guitar. The neck feels full in my hand. It's not too wide where I feel like I break my wrist to reach the low string. And it's not so thin where it feels like there's nothing there. The hardware is decent. The 26.5 inch scale length works well with the low string, but the high 6 tend to feel overly stiff. Making vibrato on the low E uncomfortable (for me anyway.). The pickups are muddy when you've got the thing on full bore. I like to roll off the volume and tone knob a touch to clear it up a little bit. I like that the tone knob is out of the way. I really like the compound radius fret board. This thing is a tank. The transition to 7 string guitars felt seamless with this guy. I'd buy him again.

2.0mm Gator Grips
I like these picks for any form of music where I need a lot of pick attack. Also, using thicker picks with heavy strings is practical. I got these in a pack of 72 for less than 20 bucks. The only complaint I have is that they wear like crazy. There are other pics I prefer, but I enjoy using these.

cpt1776,
You may want to try these Dunlop's. The Dunlop JD JazzTone 208. I love them and and there is great control using them for me. I used to use the 73mm 1.2mm etc but these have been great. I'm sure these will more than sufficient for the heavier strings that you use. Give them a try and let me know what you think.

Paradigm
Do note that I used the Not Even Slinky 12-56 set. I liked the strings. I jumped at the idea of a string that won't corrode for 90 days. However, South Carolina humidity has a way of ruining everything. They corroded. I can't prove it cause this was in July 2017, but they did. I like them, just not the price tag.

Dunlop heavy core
I'm a metal guy. I've been using these heavy cores since I started guitar. I've used the 12-54 primarily. When they're new, they're great. After several months in South Carolina's humidity, they die and go flat. More so than Ernie Ball paradigms. But they're worth the price. I use dunlop.

I threw this...
I threw this in the bridge of my Epiphone Les Paul LP Special Player ii. The installation was okay until I messed up the grounding wires. That was my bad. I contacted EMG for some replacement grounding buttons. They sent me 2 without charging me anything, which is commendable considering I'm just a normal guy. Unfortunately they sent me the wrong things. I correctly installed the pickup. Just with the wrong stuff. It has this hum that never ends. However, when I play, I can hear the guitar. The sound I hear is good. It has a slightly compressed sound and tons of output. So much that I don't even need my overdrive into the distortion. I found out I'm crap at changing pickups, and that pickups that hot aren't my thing. I will commend EMG for trying to help. That's why it gets 3 stars.

Ampkit App
Before I got a bigger amp, I used this app for tones. It's okay. Don't bother buying any additional things though. None of them sound as good as the Valveking anyway. If you're gonna buy an amp, buy the Peavy 6534 on there. No other amp can get a tight, clear, and dynamic rhythm sound.

Boss ME25
I use the ME25 for clean effects, low drive, and wacky effects. The distortion in this is laughable. Unless you want a digital sounding gain, use a different unit for gain. However the effects I use for cleans do their jobs well. Using it for flavors is its strength. I love the looper. And I love having all these effects in one box. I wouldn't buy it for $200 new. But it's worth 70 bucks if you can find one new.
