Horrible original finish. Beautiful guitar underneath
I hated how it looked and sounded with the thick blue finish. I took a powersander to it and ever since, it sings beautifully. No joke. The guitar itself as well as the pickup system is amazing but the finish ruins it.

Longest lasting cable I've ever used
Great cable, especially for bass. Seems to get rid of some high end but that makes sense because it's designed for the bass. Otherwise it's an incredibly durable cable. I've had mine for 5 years and it functions exactly like the day I got it.

Solid, aesthetically pleasing cables
I use a few of these to connect my board to my amp and my axe to my board. Zero noise and very durable. It also doesn't hurt that they match all my tweed gear

Great cleans, unlimited headroom, too powerful
When i got this amp, i was under the impression that your amp could never be 'too powerful'. Wrong. this thing is dead until you hit 2 then 2.5 is uncomfortably loud. i was never able to feasibly go past 5 and at that point the paint was peeling off the walls. The thing goes to 12. The amp itself sounds amazing and works great with pedals but it's just too powerful and loud for my and most players' i know's purposes.

Great, affordable flanger
Great sounding flanger that doesn't break the bank. Goes from jet to warbly very nicely.

Solid analog delay
Great analog delay. Worth the hype. Relatively affordable compared to some boutique analog delays that do the same exact thing. In some cases, not as well for even more money.

Great sound. Not worth the price.
Undeniably good sound, however, an analog delay is sort of a one-trick-pony and for $350 you could get 2 or 3 really nice pedals. I ended up returning mine

Decent comp. Limited tones
Great for that 'squished' sound for funk etc. but it is very muddy if you try to use it with much of anything else. I primarily use it at the end of the chain as a buffer for the long cables.

Good recreation of fuzz face
Very accurate recreation of the fuzz face. Could be less scratchy and more middy, but that's preference. The 'power starve' knob also seemed to be finicky. The ability to plug in a power supply versus having to rely on a battery would have been nice as well.

the 'face' knob doesn't actually cut voltage just change the bias of the transistors because germanium transistors perform different based on the ehat and humidity so the idea is you plug it in and rebias it every soundcheck with the face knob to sound 'right'
I have had tons of vintage and boutique fuzzes, I got rid of most of them and ALL my germanium transistor devices, they are fun for the studio but impractical overall

One of the most versatile digital delays ever
Not only does this have tap temp (technically 'strum tempo'), but it also has 12 types of delay in addition to a switch for divisions and a built in looper. Strongly recommend.

Best reverb box ever
Digitech bought out Lexicon (company that made David Gilmour's reverb units) consequently, this thing is full of Lexicon quality verbs. The 'halo' setting is something of a synth generator and it's amazing for ambient tones.

I didn't know digitech bought lexicon, so that's what happened to them! I sued to love their stuff, then they just stopped releasing new units and I switched to TC, huh

Most advanced tremolo ever
By far the most advanced and tweakable tremolo pedal you will ever use. Pretty pricey but if you're a tremolo user, ditch what you have NOW and get this.

Best volume pedal
There are many techy snobs out there that will critique this pedal for being passive and 'tone sucking' but if you properly buffer your board (and don't use the tuner out) this is the most responsive and balanced volume pedal under $250 plain and simple.

THE distortion pedal for a reason
This pedal has a reputation for being durable and sounding great. Certainly deserves it. Great pedal for modding as well as classic lead tones.

Great transparent OD
Great affordable pedal that adds dirt without coloring your tone. I strongly prefer this to the tube screamer

Amazing cleans, incredible responsiveness, beautiful OD at bedroom level
I got this amp after deciding to downsize from my 60 watt 2x12 Fender Hot Rod Deville. The 68' custom shop Princeton Reverb RI is without a doubt the cleanest amp I have ever played and is also by far the most responsive to my guitar's volume, and subtle variations in playing dynamics. VERY strongly recommend this amp to the guitar player that wishes to have a great sound for anything from country, to jazz, and yes, even metal. It's also got modern tweaks that eliminate noise and plays well with my large pedalboard.

vintage examples are not noisey at all, be they reverb, non-reverb, blackface or silverface... I cut my teeth on a 1964 reverb model and even at 10 it was dead silent if you turned your guitar volume to sero with nothing in line.... not even a ghost of a power hum like marshall and vox amplifiers of the era, though it definitely lacked the cajones of the old british amps I later acquired
