Super Duper

The envelope feature seals the deal. I used to use a Pigtronix Tremvelope but always had trouble getting a noticeable speed/depth change based on pick attack or volume input. I really dig hitting the strings hard and having the tremolo effect speed start fast then slow down as the notes fade. The super pulsar does a really nice job at that. I admittedly don’t really use the other features and waveforms or patterns, but they’re cool too.

The best tremolo ever

EHX has created the best tremolo ever. It is tap tempo and also the speed can be controlled with a knob. Has the option to reverse the modulation and the envelope filter added is a great option to keep exploring sounds and patterns of waves. It has the square, wave and triangle modes as weel as predetermined rythms for the tremolo than can also be used like arpeggiator. One extra thing is that you can enter a creation mode to create your own rythm patterns. This pedal is simply amazing.

dane_constant

Most advanced tremolo ever

By far the most advanced and tweakable tremolo pedal you will ever use. Pretty pricey but if you're a tremolo user, ditch what you have NOW and get this.

On August of 2016, MusicRadar did a Rig Tour with Explosions in the Sky, taking a quick look at their gear. On his board, his only modulation pedal is an EHX Super Pulsar tremolo pedal.

“This is brand new. With this record, we didn’t play a lot of it live before recording, so we had to reverse engineer the sounds we got in the studio. I got this to replicate the tremolo sounds on Disintegration Anxiety and Colors In Space, which we made in the studio using a pedal I borrowed from [producer] John Congleton.”
