Not bad out of the box. Take it to the next level by putting on some flatwound strings and lowering the action as far as you can without getting a lot of fret noise when played normally. Paired with Fender 9050ML strings, it's a joy to play.

If you're using a cheapo strap that's a small step away from an automobile seatbelt, give this a try. The wider width is more comfortable and keeps long neck instruments from slipping down.

Polyphonic tuning (multiple strings at once) is a nice feature for a rough check. One string at a time gives more accuracy with the strobe effect letting you know which way to adjust. Big display is easy to see.

The effect can be subtle with gentle tugs on the strings, but then gets more pronounced as you dig in. Goes a long way to get a vintage amp sound without breaking the bank.

Fuzzed out bass is a beautiful sound and this pedal does it extremely well. The ability to mix the original signal (dry) with the fuzz (wet) is what sold me on this one. Get the fuzz without losing the thump... if that makes sense.

Set it on Seafoam mode, dial in 12 o'clock on the setting, and play some minor key riffs. Instant post-punk.

Bought this as a glorified metronome. The sequencer makes it easy to lay down something more exciting than tick, tick, tick, beep. Since it also has a bass synth built in, you can kill time making acid house jams instead of practicing. Not that you should do that. Impressive battery life from the built-in lithium ion, and charges from USB C. The case is plastic, but the buttons are rubbery and have a nice feel to them.

This amp is only one step up from the lowest model Fender sells. For bedroom jamming, it's surprisingly good. Mostly I play it with the tone controls flat and contour off. Once in a while I, when nobody's home, I kick in the overdrive and crank it up. Someday I'll move up to something with more wattage and a 10" speaker, but for practice, this is a keeper. Aux input is handy for backing track or drum machine input.

I own these and a pair of Sony studio headphones. The Tascams seem to color the sound with a little more bottom end. Fine for practicing bass. Also good for watching Netflix on the laptop. The price on these is reasonable and what I think headphones ought to be. (You know, before a certain rapper started slapping their signature on a pair of cans and charging you out the wazoo.) The only minor annoyance is the cord is super long and not coiled, so it gets in the way at times.

Very comfortable and good sounding headphones. They have a very flat response, so for everyday listening they sound weak in the bass range. But for recording and mixing, you get an accurate sound. Ear pads flaked off and died after a couple years, but replacements are not hard to find and install. The coiled cord is nice.

Some people like to hate on Behringer. They do make some very plasticy products, but this is not one of them. The case is metal and all the knobs have a nice feel. Good way to get a mic and guitar piped into your computer's USB and start recording. No need for installing drivers. Mic gain can crank pretty high to handle the low output of dynamic mics.

Pretty much the same dynamic mic experience as the popular SM58 as far as I can tell. But, half the price. Kind of like a Made in Mexico Fender. Get a good sound and save some cash.

Strain relief and plug ends are equal in quality to the big name brand one I picked up when I bought my bass. Once or twice I've had the plug end start to unscrew itself. If it gets annoying, I little loctite should fix it. Other than that, I've stepped on it, tripped over it, and otherwise carelessly abused it. It's still holding up.

Great for chaining effects pedals. Metal plug ends are sturdy and low-clearance to not waste space on the pedal board.

Replaced the factory strings on my Squier Affinity Jazz Bass with these. It's like night and day. Not only do the flatwounds feel better on my fingers, the tone I get is what I've been trying to dial in with tone knobs, pickup volume, and amp settings. Money well spent.
