Best non-overpriced headphones for casual listening

I own these and a pair of Sony studio headphones. The Tascams seem to color the sound with a little more bottom end. Fine for practicing bass. Also good for watching Netflix on the laptop. The price on these is reasonable and what I think headphones ought to be. (You know, before a certain rapper started slapping their signature on a pair of cans and charging you out the wazoo.) The only minor annoyance is the cord is super long and not coiled, so it gets in the way at times.

Not great for studio monitoring, but great for just listening to music

I bought a couple of pairs of these headphones from either Guitar Center's site, or Musician's Friend's "Stupid Deal of the Day" a month or so ago. they were less than 40 bucks for the two headphones. so, I decided to try them out for a super low cost.

So, when I tried them out during the playback of a recording, I was generally shocked at how bass heavy they are. They definitely are not EQ'd flat. These made it hard for you to hear any treble at all.

But, I have used them to listen to music and I think that's where they excel. They feel very well-built and will probably last a while, too.

These will definitely not replace your Sennheiser phones at all. But, if you need something inexpensive to listen to music at home from your phone or whatever equipment you use, these will do the trick with no problem.

Not too bad , wish it had a better tone with higher frequencies

I have been using the Tascam TH-200X headphones consistently since December 2018 , they were a huge step up from the skull candy earbuds I was using prior. I use them for almost everything from vocal monitoring to mixing to producing full on albums . They look really nice and fit comfortably, the sound is good but it could be alot better . It feels as if the high ends get lost during any presence of low end / bass notes which is a bit unfortunate. That being said it's okay if your a creator on a budget looking for something decent while you save up for something better.

Great for a vocal booth, or similar use. Do not recommend mixing with these.

These headphones regularly go on sale for $20. They don't have the best high end clarity, and they boost the low end. Has a sort of mid-scooped sound almost. I keep a few pairs around so I don't have to use my good headphones when I'm not mixing. Toss these to someone who wants to hear themselves when recording. But for $20 these are honestly kind of a steal. They're actually really comfy, and great to have laying around for when you don't need super precise headphones.

Super Underrated Mixing Headphones

These may not be the highest quality mixing headphones on the market, and they may not come up in top recommended lists from audiophiles and producers, but they are an undeniably solid pair of headphones that will get the job done. I used these to mix 8 out of 10 songs on an album I made with a friend and the mixes turned out beautifully. If you have a home studio like me and you're looking for a good budget pair of mixing headphones, these workhorses will give you the mixes you want, even if they're not as esteemed as headphones like the Beyerdynamic DT 770s or the Sennheiser HD 600s.

Decent and does the job...

Not the perfect headphones, but does a decent job at mixing stuff. Honestly, I would still recommend listening to you mix on other headphones as well just to get a good idea of what your mix sounds like on other devices.

Ideal for bleed-free tracking sessions in home studios

I've got two pairs of these for tracking vocalists and acoustic instruments. It makes it a bleed-free and focused session since all of the tracking is done in the control room. Just another situation that comes with the territory of having a home studio.
