Warm

This is warm for when you use an ac15c2 but it's drive is slightly too chimey

replace her with the MXR badass custom OD (or whatever they call it)... that pedal is the same basic circuit but with some extra tone controls to shape the sound.... I always liked the SD1, but while its better than a TS9 with voxes I found it to fall a little short and got that MXR when I found out its just a hot-rodded SD1 and I never really looked back. Its the only drive pedal I have left since buying a TC Nova.

Trying to pay off my ac15 so could not afford that one

I hear that.... honestly though, I got my MXR OD used on ebay for like 30 or 40 bucks a few years ago if I recall correctly

dylanblay

Yes but I like enough that I shouldn't have to buy the slightly better one for money

okey doke, you just sounded unhappy with the sd1 and I gotta say when I went to my 1st ac30 I fell out of love my sd1 even though I had been really into it out front of marshalls.... just trying to help because I had a similar experience with the brightness and the audible bass dropout with an sd1 and a vox... when the mxr guy came out it soled the whole problem for me and its rare I can say that a pedal does everything I expected right out of the box like that

I guess the SD1 is pretty cheap still? I dunno, I've had the same one forever.... at least I think I still have it. I want to think its in a box somewhere with my bf2 flanger.... but god knows at this point.

I own this effect and it's the only "real" effect I use (the other effect I use is a tuner). I love it but I hate how when you turn the tone knob all the way down it sounds really flat and horrible.

Good

The one pedal you don't want to hear is the silencer

dylanblay

Classic

It's my love right here I love the chime

I'm not a huge fan of Vox amps, but I'd love to try one someday.

Great untill the jack came loose

I like just the jacks came loose and had take it to our local luthier

dylanblay

Good

Slightly sharp but if you are willing to sacrifice that for tone you are good

dylanblay

Clear

Crisp audio good for the studio if you want it real loud

dylanblay

Good

70s punk sound use when the crayon isn't enough

dylanblay

Does what it should

Simple old school studio quality shushes up the phhh... in the background

Think it's my favourite

Perfect wouldn't change it at all it's got everything you could ask for

dylanblay

It's good use sounds the way it was meant

It's just a little too basic I wanted a switch that could control the level though

dylanblay

Again a perfect pedal I use on my three pedal to go rig

Love it found it when I went tremolo shopping and adored it's very boutique and perfect

dylanblay

It's my livelihood

Can't play without it! It's on my 3 pedal on the go rig

dylanblay

Greatly simple

Wish it had chimier reverb for my strat because we do some rockabilly but great for my 2 radiohead songs

dylanblay

True classic

One thing it's not loud by itself through a pa it sings

dylanblay

Plays good

Plays good good humbuckers too if you like that

dylanblay

This thing kicks a blues juniors ass and also it sings with the celestion speaker

Everything about is crafted to a tee the American class A wiring the grove tubes 12ax7s accutronics reverb this is great but it hasn't achieved a personal friend status like my strat

dylanblay

Love it main axe

Not perfect makes it so lovable it's just not slick and a working man guitar it's not a guitar it's a friend
