The Perfect Beginner Guitar
Bought this at the age of thirteen in 2004, when I was pretty new to the instrument. This was my first electric, my first guitar that actually belonged to me. At the time, I played a lot of classic rock and desert/stoner, and it served me fairly well. The stock pickups were a little hot for what I used them for, and the clean sound wasn't the best, which I fixed by running it through an OD with the tone up and the gain down. The best thing about this guitar is the neck. If I recall correctly, it is based on the Ibanez Wizard III neck, and it is still one of the most comfortable necks I've ever played on. I still play this guitar today, and it's my main mid-high gain passive instrument in standard tuning.
Over the years I upgraded it, adding D'Addario auto trim locking tuners, CTS pots, a Switchcraft toggle and jack, and swapped the stock pickups for a Seymour Duncan Jazz in the neck and JB in the bridge.
Oh man!
This is actually the only electric guitar I own right now. Have had this guy for years. For a long period, I was into acoustic and bass guitar, but got back into the old electric and decided to spruce this up. I'm actually not too familiar with Schecter Guitars so I'm not exactly sure of the type of pickups that were in it before I changed to some Seymour Duncans. The ones that came in it where obviously humbuckers and had a dirtier tone. There is a certain type of musician Schecter markets too, for lack of better terms I guess like a shredder, you know metal and shit. The Body shape is definitely supposed to be more appealing to that type of person. I'm not too fond of it, but to each their own. You got your tone and volume knob, 3 way switch, basic stuff. Basic, cheap. Saw one with the stock pickups used for $150. When I get something new it will become my tinker guitar!
Nasty action
This is an exactly the most top shelf guitar I've ever seen or played. The Schecter namebrand pick ups aren't terrible. I did happen to think the natural walnut finish was pretty sweet. But I was amazed at how close I can get the action on this guitar with minimal fret buzz and still have good clarity

High quality production, good tone, and great feel make this guitar one of my favorites so far, Looks beautiful and plays very nicely for the price. I recommend to anyone wanting a good guitar for cheaper than $200
