Too frontloaded! It used to be that you would immediately see what artists were using the product. Now there's the price tier, the AI-generated pros and cons (which are often restated generalities or tangentially relevant buzz phrases), the item description (which are getting overwritten by formulaic generative AI templates). The grid list is also difficult to parse.

In summary, I would remove or relocate from the top:

• Price Tier / Average Price
• Pros & Cons
• Availability Links
• Genre Affinity

A return to a layout more in line with the 2019 iteration would be my ideal (notwithstanding the related items / curated recommendations carousel).

I have an idea. The brand name is actually ReVox. Can you create the page with an uppercase V please? I checked, and user links are case sensitive, so theoretically, if you create a page with an uppercase V, well it's supposed to work. Only problem is that it doesn't work when I'm trying to add it on my side via the website :/

I see where your head is at, but the URL would be lowercased anyway, so capitalization wouldn't make a difference. It would need to be don manually or with an expanded name.

First off, thanks for the compliments! My enthusiasm stems from the fact that guitar and music are just awesome in general and that I get to tinker with a lot of fun little toys. I'm also a gear nerd and love talking about this.

Also, to clarify, the UA Dream was the only gear used! While I love a good tube amp, I went all digital over a year ago and really haven't used an amp (unless it was backlined) since!

As for the rest, I use an Aston Origin microphone, my iPhone 14 as my main camera, a Focusrite Scarlett Interface, Reaper as my DAW to record the tracks and voice-over, a variety of plugins from Slate and Plugin Alliance, DaVinci Resolve for editing, Affinity Photo for the graphics, all done on an M1 Mac Mini. The "pedal cam" was a generic GoPro camera off of Amazon, though I've recently switched over to an older iPhone for that view (which you will see starting with the next review.)

It is A LOT of work to make a Youtube video, and anyone who can write and then perform their way through a script while squinting into an LED loop light deserves my respect, and more importantly, they HAVE my respect.

That said, you could remove the few mentions of Equipboard from the start of these videos, and they could 100% be added to anyone's musical instrument channel.

However good they may be, why produce videos that anyone could make, about products that already have a dozen such videos each already on Youtube?

Just watched the Electro-Harmonix Soul Food review. While its atmosphere is admittedly not very distinct from most other review channels (as per pkennethk)—the "Like, Click, Subscribe" graphic at the end doesn't help, to be honest—I'm loving how awake Kevin sounds; he not only sounds professional, but he actually sounds enthused! Unfortunately, his video briefly cuts out mid-sentence at 9:33 and I do find it odd that he doesn't seem to have an Equipboard link on his author page.

Also, why is only the Universal Audio UAFX Dream '65 Reverb Amplifier Pedal listed under the "Gear used" section of the video description? Feels like a missed opportunity to list his guitar, his amp, his microphone and/or interface... heck, even his cables!

I don't mean to imply that executing on any of that would be easy... this stuff is hard... really hard.

Hmmm... Not sure how I feel about introducing streaming links, let alone as the first set of items under the artist's bio. I'd much rather switch the rows: Genre and Groups first, then links second.

You have to scroll and scroll and scroll to view all of an Artist's gear entries.

I wish there was a way to see more than 1 piece of gear at a time on mobile and more than 3 at a time on desktop.

The current design feels better-suited to a social media website with an endless feed, where there is no way to see "everything", and the point is just to keep you scrolling for as long as humanly possible. Even Amazon does 3+ at a time on mobile for shopping and 12 at a time for browsing videos. If I'm shopping for a Strat on fender(dot)com, they'll show me 4 at a time on mobile and 6 at a time on desktop.

Does anyone struggle with finding/browsing items on Artist profiles if any single category has more than a dozen items?

This was a huge strength of the original artist page design. More items fit in the main view. It felt more immersive and museum-like. I also found it easier to navigate between categories; the leftward, vertical sidebar was compact and thus easy to follow. Right now, the current horizontal bar cuts off categories if they don't fit on the page; one might not be aware that there are other categories to side-scroll to. Speaking of which, I just noticed that the quantity number displayed in the header for "Other Gear" (or whatever other category is last) is clipping behind my scrollbar on desktop.

The strange DOD "Dimension 12" D12 rackmount delay/sampler/looper

The "budge" PCM90 / echoplex, a reack delay with some interesting sample/hold/loop conrols that allowed for - reverse - One shot - tap to change delay length, or in loop mode, made destructive multiplication/division of the loop. Some rudimentary MIDI control.

A strange and beautiful unit that I'd love to review.
