Please tell me you're in love with those Trio6 Be's.
hell yes @pkennethk they have a stunning level of clarity and balance - and work really well in a fairly small room too (unlike the SM9's)
@simonleonmusic I'm so glad to hear that. I've been so impressed with my Focal Alpha 65s. The Alphas are dirt-cheap bottom-feeders compared to these beauties of yours, but even these lowly overseas-made Alphas are great enough to make me a Focal lifer.
@pkennethk mate, the Alpha's are good, I upgraded from entry level Focal CMS 50's after many years :) all I can say is, it feels like a continuation of the Focal sound, just with a lot bigger dynamic and frequency range, better stereo imaging and better clarity.
Btw love your gear, seems like a good healthy obsession with Roland, Lexicon etc :)
@simonleonmusic glad to hear there are family characteristics that carry throughout the Focal line. That's what I was hoping to hear. Re: my gear, thanks! I wouldn't pay the kind of prices this old Roland stuff is fetching on Reverb these days, but they still bring me a lot of joy.
