Traditional Rickenbacker bass style with dot inlays and no binding
This design was once exclusive to the British distributor Rose Morris in the sixties. Prized by Mike Rutherford, Paul McCartney and Chris Squire when they got their first 4001S models in 1964. Chris' "yellow" bass was originally in Fireglo. Feels fantastic and hits that "Rick" bass tone without compromise.

Fender 25th Anniversary Stratocaster (1979 - 1980)

Nice heavy Stratocaster
The Fender Anniversary Stratocaster came out in 1979 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Stratocaster guitar. It was the first anniversary/celebration model for Fender and their first instrument that was issued in a pre-determined, numbered limited quantity. This Strat design shows both old and new features for the era: it was the first Strat model to revert back to a 4-screw neck connection and a truss rod adjustment nut at the body end. The tuners however were modern newly designed by Sperzel non-locking machineheads.
The first 500 or so instruments produced were finished in Pearl White. Unfortunately these guitars suffered from finish issues due to experiments with a new polyester lacquer formula. The finish on these guitars started flaking of almost immediately after they came out of the factory. Many of these guitars were recalled and refinished by Fender in Porsche Silver (though Fender refers to it as "25th Anniversary Stratocaster Silver"), the color that was used in the rest of the production run. Porsche Silver tended to fade to a almost jade green.
