Godin XTSA Review - Ultimate Versatility

guitaristnextdoor.com

Godin XTSA is a versatile powerhouse guitar that excels in tonal variety, thanks to its impressive pickup configuration and acoustic capabilities. With a comfortable playability and high build quality, it offers great value for money. However, its synth access feature, which requires additional investment in a guitar synthesizer, might not be essential for everyone. Upper fret access and single-coil tones could be improved, and occasional cable jack issues may be a minor concern. If your budget allows and you need its unique features, the XTSA is a solid choice that won't disappoint. North-American craftsmanship only adds to its appeal.

Godin xtSA Koa review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Godin xtSA Koa impresses with its versatility and value as a 'three-voice' synth guitar. It offers an expansive range of sounds, blending acoustic, MIDI, and electric outputs, making it a powerful tool for experimental musicians. The build quality is solid, featuring a stunning koa veneer, though its weight is more akin to a Les Paul than a Stratocaster. The neck feels superb, though the advertised 'ergocut' board edges are barely noticeable. While some tones are described as vanilla, the guitar's capacity to integrate with synth gear significantly expands its sonic potential. Overall, it's a highly functional instrument, praised for its clean build and ability to deliver a wide range of tones, despite minor drawbacks.

Amazing guitar for the price, can't go wrong.

I have had this guitar for just over 1 year now, and I have nothign bad to say about it. This guitar does it all. The body contours are comfortable, and are placed in just the right spot to sit in any position. The ebony fretboard glides with ease, with easy access to every fret on the neck. The locking tuners and floating bridge go hand in hand, and barely go out of tune. The pickups are hot and spanky, getting your those hot classic rock tones, to strat single coil, to jazz neck humbucker. The Piezo Bridge system is incredible! Probably the most reaslistic acoustic simulator I have heard. Controls are always in an accessable spot, and I have no trouble moving around this guitar. The Synth Output is a great feature, although I have not used it, I am slowly aquiring the gear to be able to use it. This guitar is every studio musicians dream, and is the ultimate tool for any genre. Even though my version of this is a Natural Flamed Koa Top, the one displayed in an incredible finish.
