Keyboard Stands

Perfect stand

This is easily the best keyboard stand I have ever owned. The biggest problem I encounter with most keyboard stands is that they almost never leave any room for your legs or for a pedal board or something underneath. This stand solves that problem with class. Looks amazing and distinctive, rock solid construction (no wobbling or keyboards sliding around AT ALL), folds up cleverly, even includes little velcro ties to keep your cables from getting messy. A little pricey, but worth every cent, and you can add all kinds of attachments to tailor it to your needs (I just have the 2nd tier "stacker", but you can also get a music stand, laptop holder, mic stand, etc.)

Electric Basses

Ibanez GSR205

Avg price: $288.46

affordable 5-string bass with a Sisters Of Mercy tone

5-string active bass. Cheap, and can get a nice Sisters Of Mercy tone out of it.

Audio Samplers

Casio SK-1

Avg price: $72.00

nostalgic dreams of circuit bending

I have owned this since I was an 80s child. I would love to circuit-bend this lil guy someday. Y'know, when I learn how to circuit bend.

Dynamic Microphones

Cheap, works fine

I got this on sale for $10. Needless to say it's not the most mind-blowing mic ever, but it does the job. It's a dynamic mic with a supercardioid pickup pattern. Has some handling noise, but hard to complain about it at the price I paid.

Distortion Effects Pedals

Pro Co Fat Rat

Avg price: $178.88

The best RAT

Needed a distortion and was pleased to find this beefed up RAT. Classic sound, solid construction, big ol knobs... awesome! about $100 more than a regular RAT, but worth it in my opinion. Like that you can run it at 18V for more headroom/higher fidelity, as I am mainly using this in the studio.

Compressor Effects Pedals

Xotic Effects SP Compressor

Avg price: $158.05

Volume Effects Pedals

Dunlop DVP3 Volume (X) Pedal

Avg price: $123.12

Well constructed

Very nice volume pedal for ambient swells and things of that nature.

Headphones & In-Ear Monitors

Heaven

I had a set of DT 770 Pro 80 Ohms before these. I still have them, and they sound great. But they're closed back. I wanted something open or semi-open to use in the studio, and I wanted to use the DT 770 at work (because I'm spoiled). When I originally placed the order for the DT 880 they sent me the wrong version (DT 880 Edition) and they sounded good, but I sent them back because I really wanted the black special edition design. When those finally arrived, I noticed the clamping pressure on my head was more gentle than on the Edition model, and they sounded like heaven. A very good decision, and they look so sharp!
