thedustroom's Music Gear Setup
I was looking to get back into playing bass and looked at a few shiny guitars that I liked the look of.
I’ve not really been a fan of the Relic’d/RoadWorn look but when I saw the Flea Signature Jazz Bass in RoadWorn Shell Pink I just NEEDED it.
I usually like shiny, black guitars but this I just love.
I’m a huge fan of Flea so having a bass that’s based on his very own classic 60’s Jazz Bass is just cool.
Not to mention the fact that this thing feels and plays beautifully. It’s an awesome guitar.
A minor issue was that the guitar arrived with a 60th Anniversary neck plate instead of the Flea logo neck plate; though Fender are sending me the correct plate it’s a minor concern that this slipped through quality control, it’s not like this is a budget guitar so you’d expect it to be bang on.

Love it. Standing by the for story on this one :)
ah... in that case, disregard my forum advice re: scratches and dings due to shipping, LOL.
glad they're sending you the right plate. I agree is concerning, but eventually, you or a tech is going to need to get at that truss rod anyway.
Yeah, the truss rod is in such an accessible place.
I hear fender gets the neck-feel on these relic'd guitars really right: matte, but never rough... you just wanna hold it all day. I'm guessing, from your warm descriptions, they nailed it on yours too?
Yeah, it’s really very nice indeed.
Everything about it just seems to fit, kinda like an old pair of comfortable shoes - they’re just so right and so yours. This feels the same, like it’s always been yours.
If that makes sense.
I’m really, really impressed.
Another bonus is that it got past the wife way more easily than the £130 Bullet Competition Mustang I bought - because it looks “tatty” apparently so the cost wasn’t questioned.
