After spending countless hours upon hours with Bose QC25 and Bose QC20 in-ear phones, I wanted a pair of phones for those times where noise wasn't an issue, and these do not disappoint, rather, they sparkle. I debated for a while whether or not to get these and I'm glad I finally came around. Highly recommended.
I had high expectations of this machine and having now upgraded from an ipad mini to an ipad pro, and having installed the latest version, I can only say 'wow'.
I bought this to improve upon the quality of my macbook pro's built-in microphone and was glad I did. It's super portable too, and for the money, I have zero complaints.
After playing with this delightful upgrade in a very short space of time, my trip from idea to track just got reduced tenfold. I'm blown away at the depth of control this gives you over the creative journey in ableton live. A must have.
At first blush, this is a solid drum machine, but dig a bit deeper, and you'll be treated to a machine that gives great live performance potential and with it's hybrid use of analog sounds and samples, more than interesting production possibilities.
Elektron are known for there unique workflow and the analog four is no exception. With parameter locks, great effects and a very capable sequencer, don't expect to know all the surprises this machine has for years to come. An amazing tool.
Amazing speakers that double as both monitors and general listening. Sound quality is superb and there are enough inputs to satisfy even the most demanding audiophile.
For a pair of sub-100 pound speakers, these are incredible present. Bass response is more than okay and the audio frequency response throughout is better than anything in this class bracket and even some speakers that cost one and a half times more.
Only had posession of this today, and already I can say how much fun this thing is. It's so retro and yet so polished. I wonder how many well-known tracks have been made with this. Love it to bits.
You won't find this in the DJ booth in any superclub, but don't be fooled by it's individualism. This mixer is very capable and allows you to do things that you couldn't do with other setups. The slice tool is probably the stand-out feature of this mixer, as well as it's direct control of serato's effect out of the box. It's equally at home with Traktor, although this requires some additional setup, but all-in-all, a fun and professional mixing tool.
Plug this in to your ipad and voilá! Rock that house party with a professional dj setup. With the ability to cue the next track as with normal DJ gear, and with the effects available at the touch of a dial, you really can mix it up at your next gig. Super portable, super sounding, super cool product.
Sonically great headphones, although the outstanding feature is the noise cancelling. Nothing comes close to these headphones for being able to focus. I've used these in the noisiest settings, from long flights to New York, to coffee bars in Barcelona. These cans are amazing.
A great-sounding pair of headphones. The response curve across the spectrum is adequate for listening to a wide range of music. The bass response is okay, if not great, which some may prefer for it's more accurate response. Trebles are very present and sit well with the rest of the mix. The build is solid, as one would expect from ATH, and comfortable to wear all day when listening to music at the computer.
Looper, delays, grain shifter, this thing has it all. There's even a vocoder and enough banks to store a multitude of patterns and settings. Although known for it's place in electronic production setups, it's equally at home processing guitar effects. Lots of fun to use.
If it's good enough for Nicole Moudaber, it's good enough. A superb piece of kit for DJying. A pair of these babies and you have 4 deck control and a multitude of effects in a super small footprint. Highly recommended.
A great professional mixer. Battle-tested on the beach in Barcelona, and beer-tested at more rowdy beer-flowing gigs. The sound quality is A1, and the effects, especially the filter are club-level and useful. The one thing this is missing is the ability to assign effects per track, but for most DJs, not a big issue given the ability to use controllers, such as the Traktor X1 to do that and more. Totally recommend this mixer.
A solid investment if you use ableton live, although with the release of ableton push 2, possibly not something I'll be using a lot, if ever. Good in it's day.
This is a great little product from the masters, Arturia. It's size and weight don't do justice to some of the sonic possibilities this tool can bring as part of your production setup. Although there aren't too many elements to this machine, it does have some nice effects through the use of hard-wiring it's LFO through an analog patching section, providing some delightful ways to add energy to your production.
I've been putting off buying these for a while, believing that my current setup of a pair of kontrol x1s with the laptop was superior. Wrong, how wrong. Simply plugging in a usb stick to one the xdjs and being able to access all the tracks across both of them, and no laptop in sight, is a breath of fresh air, and these units give a wealth of options to match any DJying style. For the purists, you can beat-match like it's 1999 and the difference in price since these units don't take antequated CDs is a win-win.
