Best Acoustic Foam: Acoustic Wedge Foam Auralex DST 112, DST 114 Review

soundblackout.com

Auralex Studiofoam DST-114 impresses with its superior acoustic absorption, especially for mid to high frequencies and at various angles of sound incidence. Its lightweight, easy installation, and unique wedge design make it a strong choice for home studios aiming to reduce echo and reverb. However, while it excels in normal and slightly off-normal sound incidences, it underperforms at angles between 30 and 45 degrees, where a narrower wedge foam is preferred. Additionally, soundproofing against external noise could be improved. Despite this, the DST-114's overall performance and durability make it a valuable addition to any recording setup.
