Description
The sE Electronics Reflexion Filter Pro is your perfect partner in transforming any space into a professional recording studio. This filter is a versatile and transportable device that effectively reduces room ambiance and background noises for a 'dry' recording. It is a godsend for studios that lack proper acoustic treatment, enabling you to achieve a cleaner sound in control rooms or rehearsal studios.
The Reflexion Filter Pro is composed of 6 main layers, each designed to absorb and diffuse sound waves, reducing the amount of energy that hits untreated walls and surfaces. This results in less unwanted room ambiance reflecting back to your microphone. The specially designed Aluminium foil layer plays a crucial role in dissipating energy and breaking up lower frequency waveforms.
This innovative piece of gear is conveniently attached to the stand assembly, which is composed of a mic stand clamp fitting. This design allows the microphone and the Reflexion Filter to be moved both vertically and horizontally for optimal positioning. The Reflexion Filter Pro represents a significant advancement in recording technology, allowing for a controlled recording environment without the need for expensive and permanent studio treatments.

My Favorite Reflection Filter
I have been around plenty of Flash Studios
I have recorded in plenty of strange & not so wonderful bedroom studios with problematic acoustics
I had the pleasure of being taught by the Legendary Bruce Swedien as well... & I own the Best Acoustic Products on the market
This is still my favorite Reflection Filter!
A Reflection Filter is a interesting thing... You can't just make it out of Tin Metal & Foam or Rubber - That doesn't sound too nice... Cheap ones are made as such
It does need some High Tech with several Layers & Absorptive Materials to work 'Correctly' & Not Colour the Sound overly or be too DEAD or Lifeless without 'Air' & snappy transients etc
I don't promote recording in an overly DEAD Environment or sucking the LIFE out of your Recordings
Midrange from 200Hz to 800Hz is very difficult for these cheaper products to deal with effectively in order to NOT sound 'Boxy' - But this one does it the BEST!
It's NOT the DEADEST Product to Enclose your whole HEAD etc for Voice-overs in Grandad's Echo Chamber Tin Shed... - BUT If you have a half decent acoustic & room & have some Expensive Condenser etc Mics & want to keep the best sound out of them then this Reflection Filter will work WONDERS!
BTW: If you are silly enough to be doing Exceptional Vocals in Grandad's Echo Chamber Tin Shed then maybe you need a Shure SM7 & a Vocal Booth instead or just give up Engineering instead ;P

It's like being in a pillow case, but you're not?
Super effective absorption filter, works wonders in corners of the room on vocals. I haven't used it on anything besides vocal recording.

If your room is slightly treated & you want a more Natural Sounding Reflection Filter which is maybe NOT as muffled & deadening (because you have a nice condenser mic & dont want to loose the quality of the sound) then use the sE Electronics Reflexion Filter Pro
