This pedal can fit in any song, and can be used with distortion, overdrive, wah, and clean settings.
This pedal is good for about any guitar, the LP and HP switch is a great feature of the pedal which allows the pedal to have more of a range for its sound. The pedal is perfect for classic rock, grunge, and even Metal, like metallica
This pedal does not really need an introduction, it is a great pedal that performs very good at every setting the pedal has to offer, it is very loud, just a great pedal
The Marshall MG15DFX is a great amp to begin with, primarily, because of its many effects including: reverb, flange, Delay, and Chorus. It also comes with an overdrive channel, that has a very barky tone, overall a great amp
A great guitar for Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Metallica, etc. The guitar does have a nice clean tone despite many claims that the EMG 81/85 pickup combo has a bad clean sound. This guitar really shines when combined with a high gain pedal. I love to play this guitar, and I would recommend this to someone looking for a badass looking guitar that sounds amazing too. The simple controls do not get in the way, and are useful at the same time. The middle position on the switch is really nice for clean lead guitar. I primarily use the lowest position, because both pickups together sound great. Really nice for writing metal riffs. The guitar performs best with the mids scooped, at least for a metal sound.
First of all, I bought this pedal after hearing its immense sound on a youtube video. I am just over a first year player, and I wanted to move to more heavy music when I was looking at distortion pedals. I previously purchased a DS-2 Turbo Distortion pedal, and I was very underwhelmed with the sound, even in comparison to the DS-1. So when I purchased this pedal, I immediately tested out some Metallica riffs on my amp. I played enter sandman, because that was one of the only songs I knew at the time. But Immediately after playing with that pedal, I was very excited to learn metal riffs. This has to be one of the best metal pedals out there. The gain control on this pedal is very nice, as well as the highs and lows. I use EMG's on my guitar in conjunction with the pedal, and I can say that it is an unbeatable combo. If you are looking for a great heavy distortion pedal, and like to palm mute with Metallica riffs like Master of Puppets this is the best option in my opinion. I have recommended this pedal to all of my friends, because it is the best distortion pedal I have used thus far. After using the Ml-2 I would not go back to the "DS" series pedals.
This is a great amp for about any style of guitar playing. The clean sound is where the amp really stands out. The way I can describe it is, the perfect harmony of Marshall and Mesa Boogie sound on clean. The ISF and tone settings make this amp very versatile, and can cater to anyone. This amp is unrivaled in its price point just because it is so well rounded. Just in case you didn't know, it allows for additional cabs to be added even to the combo. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to upgrade to their second amp. If you have an overdrive pedal now, you will not need one after using the build in overdrive on this amp.
This is a really easy guitar to play, the C- shape profile is nice for moderate guitar playing speed. My personal favorite part for this guitar is the pickup selection. The pickup switches allow wide variation in sound for the guitar, it is really nice to mix it up every once and a while. The bridge can make a scratchy sound if not set up properly, and the tremolo changes tuning when used, so I don't use it that often.
I knew from the first time I picked this guitar up, that it was my new favorite. it plays amazing, definitely one of the best playing guitars that I have ever played. I have played several Gibson, and other high end brands, and it surprisingly stacks up very well in comparison to its higher end counter parts. When I went to Parkway music in Clifton Park, I tried out all of their Explorer body guitars, including Gibson models. This is the one I liked the most visually, sound wise, and play-ability. The gold hardware gives this guitar a great and unique look. Each part of the guitar stands out very well, and the colors look very good with the contrast between each
I had to buy this after hanging out at my friends place playing guitar. When I first played it, I was surprised by how great the distortion sounded for non amp distortion. This board is very useful, and convenient. The amount of different settings is crazy, there are so many combinations. This board has about anything you could think of. The Delay part is great too, especially the looper pedal
