My main bass amp, got it as a Christmas present one year from my grandmom. In retrospect I should've asked for the BA-115 which has the expanded tonal options. Don't get me wrong, this sounds fine clean, but for that punchy, crunchy, and growling tone I like, I have to put my TS9 in front of it. Also, doesn't sound quite right plugged into DI.

Recently sold my Vox VT30 in favor of this ID:Core Stereo 40 so I could record silently in the event that I move out of my dad's place and into my old apartment. When I bought this amp used from someone on Craigslist for $120, it was honestly between this and a new Marshall Code amp, and this amp blew the Marshall out of the water. I was searching for a Green Day type tone and maybe if I had worked with the Marshall a bit more it could've gotten me there, but purely for its sheer plug-and-play ability, I felt I couldn't pass up the Blackstar. Plus, after taking it for a test drive plugging it straight from the headphone out into my DAW, it sounds great for silent recording!!

Main DAW for recording. Used to operate solely on 6.0.5, only because it's what I had gotten used to, but I slowly got accustomed to 10, and now I can't imagine recording without 10.

Currently my back-up recording interface, only gets used when the PreSonus isn't cutting it. Bought it from my friend Shawn who was looking to get rid of it (and his Pro Tools M-Powered 7 which I never use).

My #1 mic for recording right now. Captures my guitars really well and adds a good amount of presence and low-end to my vocals. Ribbons are great, you just gotta know how to use them.

Currently using in my Epiphone Hummingbird Artist acoustic. Sounds absolutely fantastic, better than any acoustic pickup I've ever heard. Works really well on recordings.

I'm always going back and forth between these and the Dunlop Tortex 73s. These are more suited to lead-guitar and bass playing while the Tortexs are better for rhythm playing.

I string all of my guitars with EB Cobalt 10s. Great presence and clarity, they feel really good on my fingers, great for my style of music.

Got this second-hand from someone advertising it on Craigslist. Swapped out the stock pickguard for a nice tortoise-shell one. Sounds alright, may very well swap out the pickups at some point for something meatier. Run this into my Ampeg combo with the TS9 in front of it, and it SLAYS.

Check out some Porter Pickups! They have yet to make something that I didn't like!

Used to be my #1, now used as a secondary guitar for songs in half-step-down tuning. Got this second-hand from a guitar shop owner near my house who advertised it on Craigslist. Previous owner swapped the pickup for a Duncan Phat Cat and the stock potentiometers for CTS ones, resulting in a clear and punchy tone that works extremely well with my VT30.

My very first guitar that I got from my parents on my 15th birthday, but it wasn't a "Bullet Strat" when we bought it, it was an "Affinity Series Fat Strat" but I guess Squier's done away with that name and rebranded it as the Bullet Strat. Anyway, pretty good guitar, it's served me well for a long time. Loaded it with stickers to emulate my hero Billie Joe Armstrong. Only two things I would change: 1. put a Duncan JB in the bridge, and 2. fix the intonation which has steadily gone south over these past nine years. Mainly use it as a secondary guitar for songs in half-step-down tuning.

You won't like the JB as much as you think you will.... its a great pickup if you have a big marshall amplifier and lots of 12 inchers blazing away, like the dimarzio superdistortion its a 1 trick pony that doesn't play well with smaller tube amps or solid state gear.

My one and only amp, it's served me extremely well these past five or six years. Built like a tank, a variety of tones and styles all in one knob. Planning a few upgrades in order to breathe some new life into it and get it as close to an AC30 sound as I can: change the preamp tube to the AC30's Tung Sol 12AX7; change the speaker to either the AC30's Celestion Greenback or a Weber Blue Pup; make some cosmetic changes like putting in a new grille and adding the gold fascia strip + white piping.

I use it more as a boost than my main overdrive, but sounds really nice either way. Turn the drive up and you get a really thick distortion, keep the drive low and you get a simple well-rounded gain boost. Not leaving my pedalboard anytime soon.

Currently on my pedalboard, plan on using it live someday for one of my songs called "I Don't Wanna Know" which features the intro riff being played with a flange.

Currently not part of my pedalboard. Haven't used it in a while, but has a really nice tone, it's a good thick-sounding fuzz pedal.

Mine has a rosewood fingerboard instead of the maple shown in the picture. Sounds really good, gives me just the right high-end snap that I need from my guitars on my recordings.
