Though basic, an affordable and very powerful audio interface
The SSL2+ is a basic (2-in, 2-out), affordable powerhouse which I use to record my instruments and voice. It also have MIDI in/out and 2x headphone outputs with individual blend and level controls. Unit is solid and well-built. Knobs and buttons feel good. Highly recommend this beast!

my first synth
i bought this as my first synth in the mid-nineties, provided a few years of great service then i went analogue... General MIDI, is it time for a comeback?

Great customisable MIDI capabilities
This is a great controller, very well built, great feel to the keys (weighted). I sold it because i wanted a simpler unit, with more keys but without pads, transport, knobs etc. Replaced it with a full sized Roland HP400 from 1983!

Good all rounder but not outstanding at anything
Too much menu diving, though the vocoder is a lot of fun

Cheap and simple full-sized midi controller
This was one of Roland’s first MIDI equipped digital pianos, circa ‘83. I use this as a basic controller keyboard for my outboard modules. I also like to run the first electric piano setting through my reverb and delay guitar pedals, actually sounds very ethereal and amazing

Great instrument for found sound
I use this to record sounds on my rambles around the city, walks and overseas trips. It’s great, though sometimes needs the dead cat over the microphones to keep wind noise out

Beautiful and versatile combo
Lightweight and powerful - great for easy lugging to pub and small club gigs. Probably loud enough for larger rooms as well.

Incredible sound for such a small head
These are hand built in Australia. The Impact is a 2W beast, so loud!!! Incredible tone and warmth.

Suits my Valvetone Impact head perfectly
This speaker is loud! Realistically, together with my Valvetone Impact 2W head, this is loud enough for most pub band rooms. The combo delivers a great natural distortion sound.

Very cool sounding and looking guitar
I bought this to just jam at home (i am a bass player) and really love it, just feels and sounds so good!

Beastly bass!
I love this instrument. It’s tone is incredible and I have no real need for another bass guitar

Great as a live vocal mic!
As well as recording guitar/bass cabs, i use this for live vocals, it’s easy to use as a hand-held vocal mic and keeps external noises out

Versatile power supply for a range of pedal requirements
Comes packaged with an assortment of leads and cables including reverse polarity, doubles, and on top of that, this is linkable with additional Cioks power supply’s to expand your power requirements! Very heavy duty and solid build

Very good live results
Use this to bypass those annoyingly incompetent live mix engineers in pubs. Great for recording vocals as well!

Fuzz!
This is a great pedal for fuzzing up my Stingray signal without destroying the bottom end. Superb!

Engineer in a box
Great for cleaning up the tonal separation in a mix. Love having the bypass button. Pots in mine are very dirty and scratchy, needs a good clean!

Mine is similar but built in the 19th century
Strings are straight as opposed to cross-body... this means the tones are quite “positioned” within the casing and body of the piano. It is a beautifully restored example and retains a lot of creaks and groans which are good for recording. The keys are also very clacky, which i think adds lots of character

So much fun!
This machine is amazing, you can get some great sounds from it. It also has a “minor touch” ribbon which changes you key to a minor mid-performance. The built in speaker is very samplable with the right microphone. Headphone jack on mine has previously blown up an outboard speaker (previous owner)
