In this photo, John is seen using the MS500 backstage at a concert. The guitar was given to him by The Wiggles, whose 2004 video "Santa's Rockin'!" John was a guest star in. It has a custom inlay of "The Wiggles" word mark written on the neck and is in a sparkle blue color.
My first good guitar was a Maton Electric solid body guitar, the MS500. I played that guitar up until I got a Telecaster.
At 24.05 onwards in this rig rundown, Jesse talks about his current Matons. His is custom made (each Maton electric is essentially a custom job and although the model number is there you get to ask for whatever you want unless you buy off the shelf from a shop) and features lighting bolts as f-holes.
This was his main guitar during his time with The Wiggles, both in the studio videos and live shows. He's seen playing it all throughout this video. Due to its heavy usage by both Murray and the other Wiggles, the MS500 is arguably synonymous with Murray alongside Josh Homme and George Harrison.
