it's a keeper
I bought it from thomann brand new for 48 € and at first it sounded a bit dull with my strat no matter how much i tweaked it but rearanging my pedalboard i put a line 6 constrictor compresor in front of it and then it opened up like a great sounding OD. Maybe with humbuckers or P90's u dont need it but it really needs a bit of boost at the input to shine.

This pedal has an issue, the in and out caps are the other way around and makes the octave effect less noticeable, it's an easy fix. The only other thing that bugs me about it's the mid cut switch, maybe it can be tweaked to be more usable
It's a classic
Analog delay with modulation and selectable waves, it gets the job done and sounds good, modding it for the mod rate can add a little more to it.
this is your new best friend
This is the kind of guy who saves your wallet while giving u loads of fun, cheap fx (there are some effects that are not so good, but it has really good reverbs, delays, distortions...), a pc editor (saving u some time dialing, saving and renaming stuff) can stack up to 6 fx (and sometimes only 2 becasuse some reverb and delays are bigger than the other fx for the processor) and fits anywhere in your pedalboard or as a standalone pedal.
get one, mod it
the stock tone has a huge low-mid/mid cut. Change the resistors and caps for the LP and HP that affects the tone knob and u'll get a really good distortion, no need to change the clipping diodes or anything else (besides doing the synth drive mod if u want). That's my opinion, there's a lot more mods u can do. and the ds-1 is one of the best options if u wanna get into modding pedals

get an xp-100/200/400 and mod it
too expensive unit for what it does, better if u put extra ram, the tantalum caps (if u have the xp-100) and the xp-300 eeprom. the sound are great, really wacky but you mey need a buffer before the unit to prevent tone sucking or put it in a loop
gets the job done
It's a volume pedal and it's cheap. I use it a lot post-distorsion for swells and it's a really versatile tool, I also use it to lower volume if by accident i end up with to much gain into the amp
great sound, nicely built and of course... cheap
i bought it second hand for 280€ and the neck feels right, tuning is surprisingly stable and sounds like a beast, i couldn't ask for more.
swiss knife mod/delay/reverb pedal
it's the last part of my fx loop, i only use it for reverb and just one fx at a time but it can stack a lot of things, in the order u want, there's a really nice pc editor that someone maid that its relly good, but dont use it live (it adds noise via usb cable and it has some delay) just use it to desing your presets. to sum up: -it has tuner or tap tempo -tons of fx (reverb and delay being the best par of it, some of them are a bit rubbish) -budget price -stereo in/out

stereo in and out, tap tempo, modulation, trails... it does all the things you could possibly need in a small footprint and budget price

Really good (specially if u mod it)
Decent wah/whammy (if u put a buffer in front of it to compensate the tone sucking) and try to mod it or get the job done for you to unlock the xp-300 weird sound palette without going bankrupt
