In the Live Aid 1985 performance of "Don’t Waste My Time," Alan Lancaster can be seen playing a Travis Bean TB2000 bass. During his time with Status Quo and later with The Bombers, Lancaster frequently used this bass alongside a Kramer.
In the early days of Status Quo, Alan Lancaster used an Acoustic Control Corporation 360 Bass Amp. This setup can be seen in the background during their live performance of "Don't Waste My Time" and "Paper Plane" at The Marquee in 1972, as captured in a video by pirate61ster on YouTube. After the "Hello!" sessions, the amp was retired.
In a 2011 jam session with the Frantic Four, Alan Lancaster played on the Markbass F1 bass amplifier head, which belongs to Rhino. He continued to use Rhino's bass amp and speakers during the 2013/14 tours. This can be seen in the video titled "Backwater - Frantic Four" on YouTube, uploaded by statusquocom.
Alan Lancaster owned a red Fender Bronco, which was occasionally borrowed by Rick. Lancaster used this guitar during live performances of "Gerdundula" and for songwriting. This is shown in a video by Conde Blas on YouTube.
