B.B. King

B.B. King auctioned his 1995 Gibson B.B. King Lucille, a semi-hollowbody electric guitar, which was later acquired by Eric Clapton at a charity auction. According to Christie's, Clapton purchased it primarily for his collection.

In the early stages of his career, B.B. King frequently played a Gibson ES-355, as depicted in a photo from Biography. This was before he received his official Gibson signature models.
