Brad Whitford's Gear
According to Premier Guitar's rig rundown, Whitford uses the Eventide H9 especially because of its delay.
"Other units include a Zvex Wah/Probe, SweetSound Ultravibe, Line6 DL4 Delay Modeler, Line6 MM4 Modulation Modeler, Danelectro Reel Echo, all connected with an ADL Juicebox Power Supply. A picture below shows his board."
"For overdrive with added compression, Brad will stomp on either a Klon Centaur or a Maxon overdrive unit. When wanting a non-effected boosted signal to overdrive his Marshalls naturally, Brad uses none other than LegendaryTones’ own Time Machine Boost (little plug: www.robertkeeley.com)."
According to the 2002 tour gear from Aerosmith, Whitford used the Maxon CS-550 stereo chorus pedal, as can be seen in the video.
On Source Audio's website, Withford is shown as a user of the Multiwave Distortion pedal.
According to DiMarzio's website, Whitford uses Area 61 Single-Coils.
Brad Whitford of Aerosmith is listed on the official Foxrox Electronics artist page as a user of the Foxrox Octron.

A friend of mine did a show with [Aerosmith’s] Brad Whitford, and all they had was a crappy amp. My friend handed him a Riot pedal, and the sound went from crappy to amazing. Brad freaked out at the difference and bought one right away.”
[V.G.]: How are your guitars set up?
[B.W.]: On Les Pauls, I use .009-.042s. On Strats and Teles, I basically go with a .010, or in some cases a little heavier. If I tune a guitar down, I might go to an even heavier gauge. It helps if you can tune it down, because it gets a little slinky, and with that big meaty string, there’s nothing like that sound. The action is nominal – I don’t go super low or super high. I keep it high enough where I’m getting nice ring, but fret noise drives me crazy.
[V.G.]: What type of picks are you using?
[B.W.]: Dunlop 1mm black nylon. I used to use a Herco kind of like it, then I was just using standard plastic picks, but I found that I like these Dunlop nylon ones. They are kind of like the Hercos, which are hard to find. I have a bunch stashed away, but I’d kind of like to hold on to them.

Brad Whitford used the Divided by 13 FTR 37 as part of his onstage amp rig with Aerosmith from 2003 through 2007.
