“I was lucky enough to be able to have this built by a company called Kingdom in Bristol. I learned to play on a Marlin Sidewinder and I was really a Strat guy, but someone gave me a Telecaster and I just fell in love with the sound. But I couldn’t use it live because the pickup output was too low. So I went through a nerdy phase of trying out pickups and getting different scratchplates and all that malarkey.”

“It was a sparkly purple Marlin Sidewinder. I think they were the first true ultra-budget (aka shit) electric guitars? Anyway, at the time, I thought it was the greatest thing in the world. I think Mike Vennart actually has a Sidewinder bridge on his current guitar, so maybe it wasn’t so bad...”

“That would be my mate’s Strat, which I’ve had on loan for so long, it’s now mine by default. It’s a 2006 USA Deluxe Strat. Seymour Duncan JB (bridge) and SD '59 (neck) and just plays and sounds like nothing else I have ever touched. It’s one of those ‘one-off’ guitars that got blessed in the factory.”

You can see in minute 8:51 that he is holding a PRS S2 Custom 24, cannot say which color (most likely a dark one), tremolo has no tip, that's an S2 indicator (at least on older series)
