Description
The Kingdom Soord electric guitar offers a harmonious blend of innovation and tradition, making it a standout in the realm of solid body electric guitars. Initially crafted as a bespoke instrument for Bruce Soord of The Pineapple Thief, this guitar was meticulously designed to meet the diverse demands of studio sessions and live performances. With its elegant Indonesian mahogany body and USA-made Seymour Duncan pickups, the Kingdom Soord delivers a powerful punch for overdriven tones while maintaining a pristine clarity for clean passages.
The guitar's neck is a masterful combination of Canadian hard rock maple and mahogany, providing a smooth, comfortable playing experience reminiscent of a classic Highway One Telecaster. The 9.5” fretboard radius and medium-jumbo frets ensure effortless playability, allowing for intricate fingerwork and dynamic chordal expression. Enhanced with a custom 'sacred geometry' inlay at the 12th fret, this instrument is both a visual and auditory masterpiece.
Designed for versatility, the Kingdom Soord is equipped with a 3-way selector switch, a coil-split push-pull volume control, and a tone knob, offering a plethora of sonic possibilities at your fingertips. Its robust build is complemented by Grover 305 Rotomatic machine heads and Graphtech Tusq XL nut, ensuring stable tuning and precision. The gold Schaller strap locks provide security for the energetic performer, making this guitar a reliable companion on stage and in the studio.

“I was lucky enough to be able to have this built by a company called Kingdom in Bristol. I learned to play on a Marlin Sidewinder and I was really a Strat guy, but someone gave me a Telecaster and I just fell in love with the sound. But I couldn’t use it live because the pickup output was too low. So I went through a nerdy phase of trying out pickups and getting different scratchplates and all that malarkey.”
