"... it’s a 1972 or ’73. The Gibson Ripper is a complete maple body and neck." He also says the Varitone switch was removed and the neck pickup was replaced with a Japanese single-coil before he got the bass.

"On the album I used Music Man amps, but for touring my setup has pretty much been a gained-out [Ampeg] SVT."

At the Meatbodies concert at the 100 Club in London on March 28, 2016, Chad Ubovich was seen using D'Addario EXL110 Nickelwound Guitar Strings (10-46).

At 3min30 Chad says that he only use the "Fuzz" side of the pedal.

Chad can be seen using a natural-coloured P Bass with a Rosewood neck throughout this Fuzz performance in Paris. One of many clear shots of it at 48:45. Although Chad has used this in multiple shows while performing with Fuzz, it is unsure whether this bass is owned by co-Fuzz-member Ty Segall, as Mikal Cronin has also been photographed with this same Rosewood-necked P Bass while performing in the Ty Segall Band.

In this KEXP video from 2022, Chad uses what looks like a 70s Gibson LP Deluxe in Maroon with the Mini Humbuckers.

Chad uses a Rickenbacker 4000 series Bass in this live Fuzz session.

In this Youtube Video since 0:15, Chad Ubovich can be seen using the Guild S-200 Thunderbird Guitar. Judging by the natural refin it may be a 60s version. He has been using this guitar since the album “Flora Ocean Tiger Bloom”.
