In the description of the video Ampeg writes "Bass Frontiers Magazine recently sat down with Ampeg endorser Cliff Williams of AC/DC. Cliff has been a long time supporter of Ampeg and plays an SVT-4PRO with an SVT-810E cabinet.

In the official HD video for AC/DC's "Guns for Hire," Cliff Williams is seen playing a Steinberger GL2 bass at the 0:32 mark. This bass was used throughout the "Flick the Switch" album. Note: Williams uses the bass version, not the guitar version.

According to an article by SoloDallas LLC, Cliff Williams used the AKG D12 microphone while recording the album Back in Black.

Cliff Williams uses D'Addario Chromes Flat Wound strings, as evidenced by the colored silk ends visible on the strings of his main Stingray bass in the photograph.

Cliff is a longtime Ernie Ball artist and flatwound strings user, and it is possible to see the these strings on his signature bass and on live performances as seen by the blue silk of the strings.

Cliff Williams is confirmed to use Ernie Ball 2804 Flat Wound Group II Electric Bass Strings 50-105, as evidenced by their presence on his signature bass. This is corroborated by the blue silk wrapping visible at the headstock of his main Stingray bass during live performances, as noted by Ernie Ball Music Man basses.
