It’s in the bass – it’s in the wood, man.” He adds: “I’ve really cut back on a lot of pedals now. I still have two overdrives – the bass Sansamp and a Boss Metal Zone. I sometimes use a digital delay if I’m going to do a solo or something like that. And of course if we’re doing ‘At War With Satan’ I’ll put the phaser in.
