Dylan Mattheisen's Gear
Dylan Mattheisen uses a Fender Telecaster Thinline in Surf Green which he bought at 17 years old.
In an interview for Carlculationinfinity, Dylan says he uses also a Squier Pawn Shop '51 in Sunburst, but not as often as the Fender Telecaster Thinline.
in gear interview Dylan said that he bought the DL4 because he saw Tom Erak from Fall of Troy looping and doing a lot of stuff with this pedal. He uses this pedal a lot, he have 3 DL4's loop pedals, and usually broke them down a lot so he keep fixing these 3.
In youtube video "How To Play: TINY MOVING PARTS - "Birdhouse" ", in the minute 4:24 of the video you can see how he uses it to loop in the songs.
In an interview on Tumblr, Dylan Mattheisen mentions using the Boss BD-2 Blues Driver to enhance his guitar sound with extra punch.
Dylan said at 4:10 "The one that I use all the time is the 10-52 Skinny Top Heavy Bottom Ernie Ball, its most comfortable and I feel like for this tuning it just works really well."
As he said, Dylan Mattheisen uses a Fender Super-Sonic 60 watt Combo amplifier, combining with his guitars to have that bright,Telecaster-style sound.
