Ethan Ives

He is using a Gibson SG throughout this video.

The SG has been heavily modified over time with gold hardware, an off-white pick guard, and two Seymour Duncan Phat Cat P90s, changing the guitar from humbucking to single coil.

Throughout the video, Ethan Ives can be seen playing a Fender Stratocaster. It is the only appearance where the guitar appears to be unmodified.

Ethan Ives had modified his Stratocaster (or picked up an entirely new one). According to an article on guitar.com he went on to say, “...I’ve never really been a Fender guy, not through any prejudice, it just wasn’t really where I came from. It’s a natural-finish ‘79 Strat and someone had put Lace Sensor pickups in it. I swapped the neck out, as I don’t really like Fender necks from the 70s, they’re really different and weird to me."

This modified Stratocaster has not made any appearances in Live performances, nor' any Car Seat Headrest recordings, but has made an appearance in The Blind's music video "A Lot of Moving Parts". The guitar can be found here: https://youtu.be/FFH82DvTJIE?t=118

Ethan Ives can occasionally be seen playing live with an ESP/LTD EC-50 in a Silverburst finish. The guitar appears to have sustained some wear and tear, as the pickup switch is missing, and at one point tape was covering the bridge pickup. It seems like Ethan's main guitar on the 2022 American tour so far has been a Fender Tele.
