George Jones' Guitars

Developed in collaboration with Jones.

A mint condition George Jones D-41 Signature Edition from Martin signed by the man himself. This is #90 of 100 and is in pristine condition. Kept in the case by the previous owner and not taken out. The strap end pin has never been installed, nor has this been played barely, if at all. A legend of country music with the release of his first hit “White Lightening” in 1959 till his death at 81 in 2013, “The Possum” inspired generations of musicians, country or otherwise. This very limited run of the D-41GJ had the right amount of sparkle George wanted for the stage and the meat and bones of a classic Martin dreadnought. Hoe chose Premium Engelmann Spruce for the top paired with Rosewood back and sides, scalloped Pearl hexagon inlays designed by Dick Boak for the fret board along with his signature, 41 style Pearl top purflings, forward shifted scalloped bracing, grained ivoroid bindings and more.

This is true classic collectible Martin. With the passing of George in 2013 and not to mention the pristine condition of this guitar, this D-41GJ will only increase in value over time. Perfect for a huge fan of “The Possum” or as an investment.

Includes original deluxe #545 Geib hardshell case.
