Gregory Alan Isakov

In this interview with Truevintageguitar.com Isakov says about his 1967 J-50 that it has had a neck reset, refret and had the adjustable bridge “fixed”. The tuning keys are reproduction Kluson keystones. It has the slimmer, late 60s neck and the setup is spot on. It has nice mid to low range with that classic Gibson Americana rumble. In an interview with True Vintage Guitar, Gregory Alan Isakov discusses his experience with a 1950s Gibson ES-125, describing it as the nicest guitar he has ever played. He appreciates its warm, buttery high end and unique tone, despite not purchasing it. Isakov mentions that the ES-125, available at Austin Vintage Guitars, has his favorite tone among electrics, which he generally prefers with a little bite.
