In this picture you can see Slovaks main guitar, a late 60s Strat with a rosewood freatboard, in a sunburst finish.

According to the article it was gifted to him by a friend and was his second guitar (first being a Telecaster knock-off), before he got his Fender Stratocaster.

Hillel Slovak is seen using a Gibson Les Paul Standard, not a custom model as previously thought. In the user-uploaded photo, lighting makes the guitar appear red, but it is actually black.
