Jean Michel Jarre's Software Plugins and VSTs
“Digital spent 15 to 20 years trying to compete with the warmth and sound of analogue, but only in the last five years with plug-ins like Diva, Dune, Monarch, Omnisphere and the Native Instruments ones, is there a real new way of competing with the analogue Moog, Memorymoog or ARP 2600.”
Jean Michel Jarre highlights the Arturia V Collection Classics, stating, "What we have here is the perfect mastering of modern technologies, to serve the talent of Mr. Robert Moog. The Minimoog is part of my equipment and is always on my personal desktop." This insight is shared by Arturia, emphasizing Jarre's integration of these synth plugins into his creative process.

"I am truly impressed by the sound of the Monark - very close to the original!"

As a great user of analog instruments, it is probably one of the first time, with a virtual synth such as the NEXUS, that I can really compare the texture, the transients, the impact of the low range and the diversity of the sounds with what I find in an analog machine. The interface is easy to use, the arpeggiator is really cool, and the sounds always find their place in a mix. NEXUS is already one of my favorite synths of all time!

I love to use Native Instruments, especially the recent ones like the Kontour and Rounds and FM8.

The Animoog is the most interesting and creative synth that Moog have done for decades. Because it’s something totally different from analogues. It’s not a Minimoog, it’s something else.

Jean Michel Jarre uses the Arturia V Collection X, as evidenced by his statement: "All the synths made by Arturia have their own color and feel, and that's why they are so interesting. I've been using them all regularly for 10 years in all my works. They are now part of my sound palette." The information is supported by the source "Arturia - V Collection X."
