Critic Reviews

Synapse Audio Dune 3 review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

Synapse Audio Dune 3 is an essential upgrade for synth enthusiasts. With impressive additions like wavetable editing, dual filters, and the Swarm stacking mode, it offers vast sound design possibilities. The synth's sound remains big and versatile, making it a great choice for a wide range of music styles. However, the $79 upgrade price is a tad steep, and the Wavetable Editor's lag on certain machines can be frustrating. Overall, Dune 3 stands as a top-tier softsynth, combining ease of use with outstanding sonic capabilities.

Hoping to upgrade to Dune 3 soon.

Dune is one of my favorite analog synths of all time. It's super easy to use, and has a really good library of presets that I use a lot. The arp is a bit difficult to understand, but it's powerful once you get to know it. Hoping to upgrade from this soon, because I loved it.

Not my favorite, but has its place

I like some of the sounds in here, but I don't really like the interface at all... I use it when i need a certain sound i know it does well, like sync sounds for those moving trance progressions and such.

“Digital spent 15 to 20 years trying to compete with the warmth and sound of analogue, but only in the last five years with plug-ins like Diva, Dune, Monarch, Omnisphere and the Native Instruments ones, is there a real new way of competing with the analogue Moog, Memorymoog or ARP 2600.”
