Articel in german. In a section about Jeffs first Les Paul it says: "More relevant for hsi sound and his playing were the Kahler Pro vibrato system, that he put into the guitar hand the new Joe Barden Two/Tone bridge pickup, which gave him the desired oomph.
"Hanneman’s Jackson Soloist was bought in 1988 for $2000 – it featured a 24 fret neck-thru design [maple neck with poplar wings], ebony fretboard, and a Kahler Model 2315 Flatmount Tremolo."
"Guitar rigs for Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman have the same treatment: dual Radio [sic] JDX DIs, two PR 40s and two PR 31s."

eff with my Fender Lead II. Pic approx 1984/85 When I met Jeff, I had a Gibson “Sonex” guitar my daddy had bought me when I thought, I could possibly play guitar. 🤦♀️ I was still in high school and an acquaintance had this gorgeous Candy Apple Red Fender Lead II guitar and wanted to trade. I asked Jeff what he thought, and his reply, was…..heck yeah, that is a much better guitar. So, I reluctantly traded. The Fender guitar had t.s.o.l. carved into it unfortunately, but Jeff was a huge T.S.O.L fan. I found out a week later the guy that I traded my Sonex with had set (his now) guitar up on a shelf and it had fallen off and the neck broke. Jeff had taken the Fender to the studio on many recordings, however, if it was ever used, I do not know for sure. He loved that it had a “squeal” sound to it. A few years after Jeff had passed, this guitar and many of Jeff’s were gifted to his best friend Rocky George
A user-uploaded photo of Jeff Hanneman's rig diagram shows he uses D'Addario EXL120 Nickelwound Guitar Strings (9-42), likely for tuning in E flat/D#.
Jeff Hanneman used Dunlop Performance 9-42 guitar strings later in his career, as shown in the user-uploaded photo.
In an interview with his tech, it was revealed he used Dunlop Tortex 0.73mm Triangle picks with custom graphics.

Kahler 2300 Series Professional Tremolo Guitar Bridge System (Flat Mount)
Guitar Bridges and TailpiecesIn this Instagram post you can see Jeffs Famous 1978 Les Paul Standard equipped with a Kahler Tremolo. I contacted Kahler support to find out what exact model it was, here is their response: "That’s a flat mount 2300 Kahler. Normally that’s not what we would recommend for a guitar like a Les Pau [sic] with an arched top. For that we recommend the Stud mount 2200 Kahler.
Chris Poland from Megadeth was the person who installed the tremolo for Jeff Hanneman and he had to do a lot of work to get a flat mount 2300 to work on the Les Paul. He has to use a flat piece of rosewood as a shim to help the 2300 sit flat and level which took a lot of work."
In these Photos of Jeffs 1978 Les Paul Standard you can see the replacement strap buttons for Dunlop Security Locks.

31:44 Steven Fryette (of Fryette Amplification, formerly VHT) to Warren Lee (ex Slayer Guitar Tech): "Well, first of all we started out with the big power amps, and Warren this is actually probably before your time with Slayer, but they were actually using 2150s back int he day when we were first getting started."
In a rare photo that appears to be a magazine cutout from the 90s, Jeff Hanneman can be seen holding an Ibanez JEM 555, identifiable by the monkey grip and tree of life inlays, and adorned with punk rock stickers—typical of Hanneman's style.
He was known to play a red RR50 live in 1983
