John Field's Gear
In this video for the song 'Hey What Now' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBwnyaBDyOk), John can be seen playing a Fender Mustang. The guitar makes appearences on many of The Cockroaches tracks, in photographs of live performances, and other media.
In the promotional video for the song 'Some Kind Of Girl', John uses a Fender Telecaster Custom in sunburst. This guitar was used by all the Field Brothers during their time in the Cockroaches, as it seen in the hands of both Paul and Anthony on various television and live shows.
In the video for the song 'Here Come's The Band', John is seen using a Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster.
John is seen playing a Cherry ES-330 guitar. This was one of many guitars he used during The Cockroaches.
John is seen with what looks to be a slightly modified Rickenbacker 330 guitar. The guitar seems to be stock except for the tailpiece, which appears to be a Rickenbacker tremolo tailpiece with its bar. It's unknown whether John modified it himself or received it stock from someone else. He most likely used it during The Cockroaches.
