John Rzeznik

Rzeznik used this guitar mostly for Goo Goo Dolls work. This guitar was used for "Iris" during the 2004 Buffalo concert.

In this photo, Rzeznik can be seen using Taylor 812CE-N acoustic. Like many other of his acoustics, this one was used to play "Iris".

In this picture, John can be seen using a heavily modified and road-worn ESP Vintage Plus. It was retrofitted with a single-pickup pickup, a single EMG pickup, and several stickers and writing.

Rzeznik used couple of those guitars, quite often, this photo originates from Goo Goo Dolls 2010 concert in Dallas. He has several of those models, with often stickers being glued to them.

I have a ’73 Goldtop with mini humbuckers in it, that I especially love to play. If I’m looking for a bit of a tighter tone, that’s the guitar I go to. Each of those guitars is a different animal. I love them all.

In this video, you can see Johnny Rzeznik using the Guild Songbird for the song Black Balloon. He is also pictured holding the guitar on the front page of a Guild Gallery Magazine. John Rzeznik has used many Guild Guitars during the 90s and early 2000s. In this video, you can see him using a Guild Songbird from 1992 for Iris during VH1 Storytellers. Rzeznik has also used this same model in 1999 for the Elmo Music Video where they did a parody of Slide called Pride. Rzeznik is also seen playing the model during the 2000 Kids Choice Awards where they also performed Slide and Broadway.
